  1. damn man looks great! nice score too, but is that a piece of metal between the sub and the box? O.o
  2. the bondo all purpose resin is what i used, i think your hardener might be bad????? i just poked a hole in it with a pin and it was fine, took me a few tries to get it rite so it dident harden to quickly and turn into chunks or not enough so it never dried, i also used the 3M hardener for my second can i bought just to see, same shit really
  3. the smell could just be epoxy or the CA glue burning off, but you can smell warm? lol, and im not sure if that amp can be bridged, i could be wrong tho, try it on just 1 channel no bridging whatso ever and see if the sub still gets hot or not
  4. dc's and sundowns both get just as loud, if not louder, 4 XL's or lvl 5's on a cresendo 3k each, batt for each amp and a 300amp alt youd be deaf
  5. i bet it wouldent be the first time youve hunted UPS down, none the less posted up in your garage ! lmao
  6. i thought about it but how did it go bad when i switched it from one amp to another? would the 4ch draw more voltage for some odd reason?
  7. yeah you do...you know that knob if you take the front casing off, you know stick a screwdriver in and turn?
  8. hes been trying to blow the woofers, he finnialy succeded, now hes rocking 2 woofers, which = more power to each woofer , but they got the clipping worked out i think ninja thread jack
  9. underpowering a sub will not hurt it, like Team DC Derrick for example, he ran a stetsom 7k on 3 dc lvl 5's they were only seeing about 700? not sure, but he wasent anywhere near what he could put to them
  10. its a stinger volt meter, and it was only droping to 13.4 when idle
  11. alright so yesterday i took out my system, was 2 12s on a "800" watt amp, had my meter set at 13.8 ( i was useing a old ass volt meter to seem how much i was getting at the amp so i guessed 13.8 since it was right near 14) so after taking all that out i hooked my meter up to my 4ch kinda guessed which one was power and ground then today i got my DMM so i set my meter correctly @ 13.6 at idle now when i drive i never see it go over 13.8 it droped to about 12.7 with the amp off, then rose back up and down etc the whole time i was driving i just dont get how i can have no drop with my sub amp but have tons with my 4ch? could i have the power and ground reversed or something? any help here? btw stock alt, everlast batt edit: i also just refused with 2 150 amp fuses, (2)4g in and (1)4g out, could that be the problem? its a distro block i think, http://cgi.ebay.com/DUAL-MINI-MIDI-ANL-FUSE-HOLDER-AMP-INSTALL-0-2-4-GAUGE-/270612118367?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f01bd3b5f
