im trying to remember..but i think the subs were both single 4ohm and dual 4ohm....are both subs exactly the same? wiring could be the issue. some guy had no idea what he was doing and had wired his subs for a final load of 4 ohms. he thought he was cool for trying to bridge channels, but was really only pushing 75 watts per sub.

same setup for my three BTLS, but i am in the process of trying to build a new box. the subs forward, port up is really nice, and i loving the sound. i love the look of subs forward port up but thats just me.

Can you draw a sketch of the wiring diagram? I think in this case you thought one better 15 would be louder than the crappier 12s on the same power. But its not always true. Two 12s have more cone area and so could easily have gotten louder. do you know the tuning or box dimensions?

not to mention two 12s compared to one 15. were they on the same power? could also be another reason why the 12s were louder.
