ive been doing some research, i cant find 8ga. quick disconnects to fit on the back of the toggle. alot of people are talking about using relays or silinoids.

how do i use those?

how would i go about hooking up a toggle switch to it? do they make 8ga. quick disconnects?

My neighbor just gave me a 400 watt power inverter. and i mounted it under my back seat, and i dont want to have to flip the switch on and off from under the seat, i want to put one in my center console on the inside so i can turn it on and off whenever i want without going under the seat. it looks like 10 ga. that came with it, what do you guys think would be safe? because it will be hard running 2 pieces of 4ga. out of a toggle switch all the way back to the inverter so im trying to go as small as i can without losing power/causing problems.

Going active is expensive. lol You need amps to run the speakers from, then a processor of some sort, like the rockford fosgate 360.2 or 360.3,Alpine Imprint, Audison Bit1 or bit10, and so many more other brands. but it gets expensive! If you check the specs of the tweeters you have, you will see the frequency response for the tweeters are 5,000 Hz - 22,000 Hz, and the bass blockers you linked only block 2800hz and lower at 4 ohms. Meaning there will be a big gap of frequency that can still get thru and damage the tweeters since the tweeters response is only 5000hz and up. you would want to go with these bassblockers to protect the tweeters the best. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_24358_PAC-BB-6PR-Black.html sweeeet. ill probably get those, would you be able to tell my why bass blockers arent as good? ive been playing the stereo without them, my tweeters still work i just hope i didnt fuck them up to bad already

Ok, so im going to feel stupid for asking this but what is a tweeter filter? just a small crossover? and do i need one if its coming off my HU?

i put my own alarm in, and from experience, maybe he put the lock and unlock triggers on the unlock on the door, instead of lock/lock and unlock/unlock. id say take it back to him

i heard 8 of these in an old ford ranger behind the seats, on an old hifonics 1600.... they pounded, imo for the money there great

You should do the big3, and a h/o alt, that always helps, yellow tops are ok for something that small I guess, if you ever plan to go bigger or wanna do it now look into XS Powe batteries, but those sundowns do draw some power, had a SAE-1200 on my BTL 18 on stock alt with 1 battery, voltage was all over the place, like everyone else said, you get it all now and do it right the 1st time you'll be good to go,

Nahh nahh I said 18 (eighteen) BTL, 4.5 cubes is small, BUT that monster will get nasty if I tune the amp right, if not, imma have to order a recone >.< Here's what Scott said... It will get loud. Definitely make sure that your subsonic filter is set 2-4 Hz below tuning and that you do not have the bass boost on with the amp or the headunit. Setting things up correct will definitely help the subs life expectancy.
