  1. does anybody have a reliable port calculator they could send me the link to it woudl be greatly appreciated..
  2. all for the american muscle right there!!!!! and yeah lambo's do sound great revvd
  3. the port calculator that im useing says that for it to be tuned to 30 hx it needs 299 inches for the port do you have a calculator you could use to get me exactly what i need? Edit before the displacemnt of the port the box is at 9.948 ft3 and that is including the woofer displaceement and the bracing displacement.
  4. i hope so does 299.76 sound like the right number for the port area?? it will be tunes to 30 Hz
  5. thats what i was thinking was 3 cubes per sub and as for bracing i was thinking about doing two vertical 2x2 and then one 2x2 across the width of the box and then 2 more 2x2 going the depth of the box as well as all of the fiberglass.
  6. yes i actaully do have the space it will be up to the heigth of the rear deck level and from the rear deck all the way up to a few inches behind the back seat so i can still move them with what i have planned for space i have 11 ft3 befreo woofer disp and port disp
  7. haha well thats the first time i have heard it and i like it and woudl you say the 2 18 will be louder than the 3 15?
  8. hahah that is an awesome saying i guess that woudl be why steve says something will look like tits lol
  9. alright need more opinions once again (3) 15's or (2) 18's ported enclosure as a rear seat delete box for a 2008 mustang
  10. yeah thanks on that one i know it will be a challenge but if i have to i will make my own brackets and relocate a few things if i can and if i do get it done i will for sure let you know and help you out
  11. the measurement i put the first time are using 1" MDF if i shrink that to 3/4" minus sub and port displacement i get 11 ft3 and using the 3/4 i will fiberglass the box with 29 oz mat to compensate for the thickenss and also the front and top of the box will have a secong sheet on those to flush mount the subs a little bit. edit: with sub displacement i have 10.28 ft3 have yet to calculate port
  12. working more onthe numbers from last night im thinking about (2) 300 amp alternators and about six bats (xs 3100) in the back and one up front for a total of seven hows that sound everybody? Dont forget beside the sum amps i will most likely have two more for the midbass and then mids/highs.
  13. NO i would be down to meet up with you i will only be in mammoth until late july early august as im moving to sac to go to school ( wyotech) but sure if you want once i have the final plans decided on this project im going to start the build.
  14. Thank you very much that was exactly what i was looking for was something like that. I appreciate tha tyou explained it as well so i could understand thank you for the information. i really do appreciate it. Edit: with what you said would two 300amp alternators be enough and i was thinking about four xs 3100's in the back and then one up front would that be good oh also should i add on one more batter to take care of the mids/highs/
  15. im going to put this into my 2008 mustang gt as a rear seat delete for the subs and all fo the amps and batteries will be in the trunk and trunk will be completely isolated from the rest of car.
  16. and i dont know on the batteries thats why i asked beucase im not the best with the electrical i am used to doing all the building im up for all suggestions and it woudl be for a combinations of daily and comp.and im thinking 12v but i dont really know thats why im asking
  17. bridging two of the T2500 bdCp amps would create one larger amp of 5000 how would they not move the sub and i was going to run them at 2 ohm load. it was goign to be one t2500bd per voice coil.
  18. alright everybody i need some help from all of you electrical wizards out there. I can calculate boxes and build door panels and all of that jazz but suck with the electrical aspect of it all..I wanna run six RF t2500 bdCP amps for my3 15" AA/SMD subs how many batteries should i go with and alternators to power that up. all input is welcome please help me out.
  19. also with the port being 17.31 x 4 x 6.53 isnt my port 452 cubic inches?
  20. ok we are still talking about doing the two 15 with the four amps right and a total box volume for both subs being 6 or 7 cubes or 6 or 7 cubes per sub??
  21. haha yeah you were sorry my mistake on that one there but you have plenty of space you could probably get away with keeping your other seats up and sitll have the space to build it your will only need about 8 ft3 probable do you know how much space the woofer displaces and also did you want to do a slot port for them or aero and also do you want them to each be in their own box or one big box??
