okay so now i have a question. he says he took my xxx and wired it to 4 ohms, and then bridged this kicker amp to 2 ohms so its getting about 1200 watts. all i can find about the amp is 850w MAX at 4 ohms bridged. it doesnt even say anything about 2 ohms. what the hell am i supposed to tell this guy

im gonna go get it and take the sub out and check the wiring...

yeah theyre blaming it on me though. they said that it was arcing because of bad connections, which isnt my fault because i disconnected everything before i took it in. they want me to buy a 1200 watt kicker amp, which is definitely not enough for my xxx so if everything turns on, and no bass, then check your power wire. if your remote wire is connected to it, it can turn on the amp, but wont play music without the power wire. make sure the RCAs are not connected to where it says "output", and like the person above said, double check your wiring from the sub to the amp, which if you wired a negative to a positive, nothing would be heard. they called and said it didnt work with their test bench's subs either.

but it isnt anything power related that blew, its the fuckin inputs that dont work.

just got a call from the shop. didnt work on their bench... anyone know of a good amp repair service

thats kinda what i was thinking. maybe when they moved the box around one of the wires came loose. im gonna have to wait and see though because its still in their shop. they said they are gonna test my amp on their bench and if it works theyre gonna blame either the deck or the sub. ill just bring it home and rewire it.

the only reason my woofer is barely even moving is its kinda being like a passive radiator from the speakers in the trunk

IIRC the first versions were good but then RD changed something and most of the V2s turned into fireworks

my deck is kinda weird, but when i turned the sub on the first day i had the deck, i couldnt turn it off. even when all the levels reset when i unhooked my batteries. i went through every setting. so the sub has to be on.

just have everything straightened out and screwed down better so it doesnt look so shitty. as far as i know they didnt touch the HU until the amp didnt work and then they tried a new set of RCAs and still got nothin.

so i took my car to get my system cleaned up a bit, and theyre all done with the system but there is NO BASS!! wtf. so i go in there and take a look at the amp, and it looks fine. it turns on and everything and it doesnt go into protect, but there is still no bass. i played around with the settings on the deck and amp, still no bass. whats the problem here??

all i got to do really is hook it up and drive to hockey practice and back.. sweet
