  2. Kinda figured it would be more of a pain in the ass than it's worth. Good ol' 12v 1800w batt for me.
  3. Car amp wise, perhaps something from the Audiopipe AP series (they have an AP400.1D I think, and their upper wattage amps have great reviews). 120v amp wise, I have an EP2500 from Behringer that I use, puts out 2500w bridge mono at 4 ohms, is 2 ohms stable stereo, and can run 1200 watts a side at 2 ohms. You can probably pick one up second-hand for around $150 or so. They're tough amps.
  4. I have an Audiopipe AP1500.1D rated for 16v use, and I'm on the search for a good second batt. Kinetik has the KHC16V, 1600watts at both 12v & 16v outs. Would I need a new alternator setup to use the battery at 16v, or how would it work? I can power my mid/high amp off my front stock battery. Thanks
  5. Sure, when you take a steel bracing rod, shove it up your ass, and f*ck off troll. 1. It's none of your business what I did, and 2. It's not on FB anymore. Definitely have. Yeah, especially since I get to get out and work on my car & stuff.
  6. Would do that if I didn't have it on my DJ business cards
  7. What if he was charged for punching babies, would you still not care? knock it off troll. Hey, no problem in a little humor. Sometimes you get that pissed that a baby doll is sitting right there in perfect view...trust me, that's why my sister hates me. Haha, kidding. Little late, don't you think? Oh wait, you posted it when I left the house lol. Anyways, good news and bad news. Good news is that based on my behavior, they are going to drop all charges. Bad news, have to stay on house arrest until January 4th. But, the head of the monitoring company was there, and she's given me a ton more leeway. She said because of my behavior, she's allowing me to go to my dad's every weekend, both Saturday & Sunday, so we can hang out & watch football together. She's also letting me go out and work on my car in the parking lot for a couple hours every week, and letting us go out to eat once or twice a week. So it's not all bad, just gotta waste the time away. And that is why I have my DJ amps and my subs here.
  8. As the title states. (P.S. sorry if I missed a topic, none showing on the first few pages.) My list, probably not much except stuff for my car...H/O alt, Kinetik battery, decent mid/high amp & component set, Alpine IDA-X305S headunit, fire lights/siren, or a train horn. If not, then probably a Numark Mixdeck and a nice RTF 4ch R/C plane...
  9. You actually did describe KY right there. There's a turn off the main road onto the side road to our apartments that's around a slightly sharp bend at 55mph (divided highway) with no turn lane, almost been rearended more than enough times. Anyways, what's your budget? What are you looking for? 2dr, 4dr, van, truck? Budget and preference? Planned stereo? Moar details = epicness.
  10. Thanks guys. X2 Already posted a topic on it, will become unlazy eventually and post link. What if he was charged for punching babies, would you still not care? well now that you mention it, was the baby guilty of anything, maybe he was defending his family from stewie griffin, we may never know You never noticed why new episodes of Family Guy haven't been shown? In all seriousness, yeah, lesson learned. Facebook stalking is for old perverts, not school officials. That, and watch what you put on Facebook.
  11. Court in less than 7 hours...stuff's looking good for me to get this stupid monitor off tomorrow, but you never know. If I don't post tomorrow at all (well, today) I'm either in jail, juvenile hall (again), or at my dad's working on getting my AQ's in my car Haha. Wish me luck.
  12. Make a box that'll fit another sub's specs, that way when these ones die, pop new ones in and it's not a waste.
  13. I had a fun idea just for my personal experience on learning how to create circuits, soldering, etc. I was thinking of mounting LED's on top of my box in a line, and using an input signal from my h/u, have the LED's flash with each LED doing a certain frequency level. Anyone ever tried this, and how would someone go about with something like this? Nothing fancy, just a fun little project for my car.
  14. just bought 5 dmm, gonna be great cheap ass x-mas gifts for the homies Looks like I know what I'm getting for myself.
  15. I don't even think DDM has a 9007 Hi/Lo kit, they don't even have Pontiac on there...
  16. Which HID kit would you guys recommend for a 2001 Grand Prix GT? I have no real preference, just not something that'll blind everyone and will let me see better than stock lights. I'd like to keep it a good balance between good & cheap if possible. Thanks
  17. 2500 for an amp in the UK? Screw that. I'll come here, buy what I want, and take it there if my family ends up moving.
  18. Alright let me know Will do. It'll probably be Tuesday at the earliest, more likely Wed. My AQ's get here Tuesday. Psyched to hear them
  19. I've heard good things about the D class AP series, got one myself, will test it out in a few days and let you know how it goes.
  20. I didn't know exactly what the answer to this would be. I took a drafting/CAD class my junior & the part of my senior year that I spent at the main campus. I've got some basic knowledge on drafting, & did some co-op/school-to-work "apprenticeship" for one of my dad's contractors. I always wondered about taking two of my basic areas of knowledge (car audio & drafting/design/CAD) if it would help me land a suitable job. Not just sitting on a computer all day drawing out box plans, but maybe as a side part to the basic car audio "jobs" at most shops. I know most people do have programs like Sketchup to use locally, but I didn't know if there was possibly a need for anything like that, perhaps at my own local car audio shops.
  21. Ever thought of being a public speaker Meade? Someone like you would be good for an anti-drug/anti-alcohol type program. Show what you can do without drugs in your life. That Tahoe, the Cadi, or even the Civic would surely make them think twice. OT: There were 69 views at the time I read it FTW: P.S. No that's not a porn site, private conversation with one of my friends who's going through some problems with her man.
  22. get them from online, if you can try, get one from the for sale section on here. I picked up the Kinetik HC2000 today - I was planning to install it today but I am not sure whether I replace my starting battery with this one or if I am suppose to run them together with 1/0 and put this Kinetik in the back of my car. What do you guys think I should do? Thanks! May wanna watch so you don't double post sometimes. Just saying. I think the better thing to do would be do big three to your stock battery, let it run your car electronics, and run a wire back to the battery in the trunk, perhaps if they have a spare wheel well? I've just seen that way work better with most builds.
  23. There's a couple people around here with SDC's. I'm getting a set of 12's in a couple weeks so if you want to wait I'll get you a report, or are you aiming for 15's?
  24. That's what Im most worried about. I'm guessing you could use command prompt (on windows). It'll be a pita finding directions though Perhaps just copy via SSH from an active iPod?
