  1. While I'm on the topic is 54.75 square inches of port too big as well?
  2. So, basicity 2.98 is to big. what is the right size. To I try fro the 1.5 or ... what?
  3. I would say they should cover it but, they might give you trouble for cutting the wires.
  4. I'm planing out a box for a 12" XL and the sizes I'm sitting at right now is 2.98^f after displacement (Click here to see it). My questions is, is 2.98^f to big? The sites suggests 1.5^f.
  5. I'm thinking of getting these now... go with a full DC set up...
  6. I don't know if any one even cares but, here is the final design I'm going with. I made the box wider and had to shrink the port down to 10.25x3 instead of 11.75x3. This means it is no longer a slot port. I will build it this saturday and try to get a test out of it. It won't be with the intended sub (still waiting to buy it) but, I will still test it with a 12" RF P2 (Hope fully) I would also like to thank those that did provide imput.
  7. Ok I think I've narrowed it down to these two: 35.25" tuned to 36Hrz 35.25 tuned to 33Hrz
  8. Here is Option 2 with the biggest port I can get 35.25 square inches tuned at 33Hrz. I still like this the best out of the 5. Best port range and best port placement without interfering with the sub too much. Maybe mount the sub just a inch higher so the bottom right corner doesn't act as a hole. One thing I was thinking of doing was cut the corner into a 45 (instead of just rounding it), this way I would have more space between the sub and port wall. (I would be reenforcing it with resin and such)
  9. Option 2.51 (LOL) 35.25 square inch port tuned to 36Hrz OR Option 4 same 35.35 tuned to 33Hrz I'm starting to run out of ideas.
  10. No I'm waiting till summer to start

  11. this even with it rounded it doesnt seem to me like it would be very happy can you not make the bottom flat No, that's the problem.
  12. So what do you guys think of option 2.5?
  13. It's the same, I just manipulated the box a little.
  14. Here is Option 2 with the biggest port I can get 35.25 square inches tuned at 33Hrz.

  17. It's for an extended cab truck (Mazda B3000/ Ford Ranger)
  18. We're off to a good start. I still need more input.
  19. I'm going to be building this box on the weekend and want to know which port I should go with. Box Info: Roughly 2*ft after displacment Driver Info: 12" DC XL Port Info: Slot Opening 23.5 square inches Tuned to 33Hrz Option 1: Option 2:
