hey everyone. ever since about a week or two ago i noticed my subs cutting in and out. thought it was a bad ground so fixed that up and realized it was the rca inputs. Running a oldddd bazooka amp that does 500watts @2ohms I'm gonna go with 90% sure its the amp & not the rca cable. RCA's are the nicest ones radio shack sells and its only about 4 months old. Bought the amp for $40 at a pawn shop lol opened it up just now and it looks like the connections are good so im not sure what to do. I know ive seen people splice in a female end of a scrap rca cable, just dont know how hard it would be do do that.. Any suggestions? --Andrew heres a few pics!

I tried setting up an account on CACO on Christmas eve and i cant get the confirmation email. Ive tried the link where you resend the confirmation email about a dozen times and also filled out the form for an admin to make sure my account wasn't screwed up or anything. Still no luck. Just looking to get any opinions on the Hifonics HFi2000. From what ive read/seen the hifi amps seems like they are not bad for the money. I'd really like to get an AQ2200 but money is not my friend now so its . Anyone know if it actually does rated power with the right electrical? Any imput is appretiated! --Andrew

What speakers you use or at least state the freq response. so my dad has these old ass small cabinet speakers from the late 80's and I am looking to replace the woofers for christmas as I completely shredded the surround on one and the other is starting to go. sub is a realistic/radioshack 40-1016 8" subwoofer was able to find some specs__ http://support.radioshack.com/support_audio/doc62/62646.pdf Anyone have any suggestions for a good s/q replacement that will still have good bass response? Trying VERY HARD to keep my budget limit topped out at $100 for (2) subs but im not too sure if thats possible. The radio shack one is actually a replacement for the original in one of the speakers (original has no specs but this one does and it sounded just as good) Thanks! ---Andrew

Wasn't sure which section this should be in so I tossed it in here. So Black Friday is coming up quick and I am hoping to buy myself a new tv from best buy. I'm curious what you guys think is better for gaming, mostly fps's. Torn between this 42" Sharp LCDand This 32" Dynex LED. The sharp is also 1080p while the Dynex is only 720p both seem to have good reviews just wanna get some input before i camp outside best buy for 12 hours to get it lol

So i went to my local mechanic to get 2 of my tires re-balanced today (only $5 btw FTW). On the way out I saw a nice ass older chevy truck that was bagged, whole redone interior w/ fiberglass and color fabric, and a sweet sealed/wall/4th order setup (honestly dk)with 4 oldschool audiobahns and a kicker kx1200.1.Not to crazy by todays standards but im sure it was def. up there 10 yrs ago. Whole truck was for sale but i thought why not give a shot in the dark and see if he'll sell the amp since im in the market. aaaaany way went to meet up with the guy. he wasnt there but i was talking to one of his employees. (its an automotive/machining shop). get into convo bout the truck and seems hes pretty knowledgeable about car audio. getting deeper into convo I seriously have to try my hardest not to bust out laughing at this guy. Says how his loudest system was 2 pioneers running off of a basik (??) 2400 watt amp and how even tho he was pushing twice the rated power, he was able to pull a 170 off em!!!! Also proceeded to explain to me how i dont need a better battery i just need a HUGE capacitor and how if i run 0ga vs. 4ga i run into fire hazards and im gonna fry all my shitz just have never seen/met someone in person b4 who has been so confident that he knew how to do it the 'right' way :noob: :noob: anyone know the world record? isnt it like low 80's?

amazing that this lil fugger sounds pretty damn close to my old 2 15" kicker comps. overall output or loudness level is about 60-70% of the 15's kills the lows. easily 3x better on anything below 35hz or so. hella lotta flex for only 500watts cant wait to get MOAR POWAAAA!!!

im only running 500rms now and at worst im dippn to the mid 12s so im lookn to get somethin so i can double my power if i can find a decently priced used amp
