  1. Ok thanks guys. The things that I still got to learn is kinda funny compared to some of yall.Didn't think 40hz would be high for any music.Just started learning the resonant stuff didn't use it much back in the day.
  2. Thanks guys.I haven't done a comp since 86 so I'm out of the loop so to speak. But seriously why would the spl tunning be so diff in comps verses daily.Sorry if this annoys the more seasoned guys I didn't know there was that much of a diff. That my box then was tuned to 40 for 4 12" power series fosgates where do they tune to now.
  3. I was reading the post that jeffrm did on removable ports I didn't want to thread jack.So I have a noob question about the point of this?I have only heard of this recently so I really don't get it.Wont the tunning it's set at wont work for all apps. Thanks for humoring me with this question.
  4. Do you ever get down in Texas.I would love to see some of your work in person. Also get a demo in a insane powered vehicle.
  5. I'm ready! It amazes me all the comparison to other products. Its simple if you want a product that has actual care and quality or American made buy it.If not keep supporting other brands who don't care what you think lol.
  6. That sucks you are unable to go.I think he would understand and wouldn't want you beat yourself up man.You got to say goodbye in you heart. When it comes to this situation thats all that can be done. There is no real goodbyes just whats in our hearts at the services. And that can be held anywhere.
  7. Sorry for your your loss sir. They don't have to be blood to become family.I'll keep you in my prayers and thoughts.
  8. the rear plastic panel is going to be ground flat and wrapped in leather with a blue french seam on the 90. Cool that is going to be some work on the rear panel lol. That is what I'm working on the escort.I will use vinyl and won't french it as I'm not good enough for that.My machine also isn't big enough for that much material. My question on the processor housing didn't post. How will the housing be attached to the trunk lid?I didn't see how it was being done when I went back through the build. Thanks
  9. That's really coming along. What will be the plan with the rear plastic panel. Will you leave it natural or cover it with leather or paint?I went back to see how the panel was being attached to the trunk lid didn't see how you did that.Is it easy or hard to attach it?
  10. well the first thing i did was get my scissors and my tape measure, then put them away. Then i went and had Sean Kat (my upholstery guy) wrap it for me I can't sew...i wish! I like the first thing you do.It had me going then bang it goes the other way with what's in your mind .I'm very surprised you are unable to sew looking at everything else you do.So the audio giant has limits after all.You are human not a machine in human skin .Your work on this car has surpassed everything I imagined absolutely fantastic there is no word better to describe it in my vocab.
  11. Couldn't get tired of looking at a fantastic build.Or a box with a light show to boot.Show off .What type of glue are you using that can take such sharp corners and not peel up in the heat.Fantastic looking and the long shot of the trunk is really cool with the dark an light just pops.
  12. Sir I've not messed with led lights yet.And was wondering how much juce do they pull?Is it safe to run them off the stock light plugs. The cooling setup is very nice looks as it moves more air than the Tahoe dose.
  13. Nice save!At least frustration didn't take over and you made it look better. You can't beat that turnout imoa. You didn't have to make a bigger hole for the trunk supports like I had to.Still very tight and clean.
  14. Love the side trim. The whole trunk setup is looking like it came from the factory. Not a put down before someone reams me lol.Such a clean build now I don't know if I want to update my wifes build now.Almost embarrassed with my work after seeing this update lol. When you glass the sides will you do inside or out?
  15. All the Benz I've worked on have had them. Most of them are in the lower panel or behind the shock/strut support brace.Getting to some of the models can be fun lol. From 86-97 did have them just not easy to get to some because of location.98 I don't remember much just that when Daimler-BenzAG merged with Chrysler corp they became a nightmare. O wow! Seriously!? Do u know where it might b on a 90 560SEL?? This is all I have on that car I only messed with the 560SEL one time and hope to never againg lol. Hope this helps out sir.You will need to pull up the trunk lining and side lining.Follow the air ducts to find a good point to make a connection to make a connection.

  17. Very tight fit on the panels sir.I like seeing someone else doing things the hard(old school)way still lol.On the fans how will they turn on and off if I missed the explanation I'm sorry.Been wanting to do fans in the trunk on my wife's escort using the side vents but didn't cause I couldn't figure it out.But of course you had to make it so simple it slaps ya in the face.Ouch.Really beautiful work!Off topic what versions are those Maxx trucks?
  18. I've seen where some have edited the topic title to show updates on their builds. How can I do that?I haven't figured it out yet. Thanks
  19. I really like how smooth the amp rack flow is.The whole trunk really has a nice look and flow to it.So when you seal a trunk off the cabin you seal up all the holes and gaps then.Didn't know what all it consisted of.
  20. I like the amp mounts will you be lighting the lower rack.Or is the box light enough.
  21. I remember those times even before car stereo cookbook lol.God I am old.
  22. While I was waiting for the reson in the trunk to dry.I went and started to lay paving stones around the garage. While I was doing that I was thinking about my build.Thinking how I wish I was done with this hump in this build.I realized the hardest part of a build for me was the in between stage. All prep work ,trim panels or frame work is done and is ready to apply the finishing touches. When I get all the pre work done and see how it's taking shape.I want to stop with the build for awhile cause I really don't want to have to take it back out and paint or vinyl it up.The best part of a build and I want to leave it guess I get lazy lol.So where is your hardest hump to ge over.
