it looks like a kinetik hc1400 will fit under the hood, but it says it's a 12v? isn't that bad ? will I be able to go above 12v or is that like an idle thing? or amI just dumb?

I was thinking about replacing my stock battery with a kinetik hc1200(looks like the measurements are pretty much the same) would this be a wise choice or a dumb one?

stock alternator stock battery atm. if I were to pick up a new nice battery should I just replace the stock battery under the hood or put it in the trunk next to my amp? which one is the first step usually taken?
