idea for the box. math probly isnt right but this is kinda what i want to do its 43' wide 14' high 10' depth before the 6' drop then 17' depth to finish it could something like this work?

well, ill be honest. i have no idea how to do the math side of the box. haha. i could use the box calculators but that damn 6 inch lip messes me up. i want to seal it off from the trunk, but i dont want something to permanent cuz it is an 86 and i dont want to mess it up. ill already have to do some mods to the back seat for it to be able to go up and down correctly.

i dont think anyones done what i plan on doing. well at least what ive seen on the interweb anyway. well my cars trunk is an asshole.. spelling ftl summary of my trunk 43 inches wide around 13 1/2 inches high (usable space) 10 inches till 6 inch drop then 23 inches after that, (no its not a 23 inch sub, i just didnt get the whole thing haha) this is with my backseat down. i wanted to try to have the port facing forward. i might be able to cut the middle piece out and make a smaller bar to support it or just take it out completely. those are roughly around 13 x13 probly a bit more. these are pain in the ass trunk bars, id have to put the subs in front of them a bit but these bars and the lip is pretty much what i have to build around 6 inch trunk lip originals any help would be appreciated. i wanted to try and do it myself to save some money from a shop i was thinking an aeroport? kinda like what thorshammer has but a lot less intense haha

have you heade AQ's? ive considered them for awhile, but kinda liked the DC's, but there kinda the same?

i need some replacement subs for a while, until i save up and get money for some real subs. i made a post about maybe power akoustic fubars or something and came to the decisions that they were just total junk so now im looking at the Pioneer TS-W3002D4 http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_16665_Pioneer+TS-W3002D4.html or the Planet Audio BB212D http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_25400_Planet+Audio+BB212D.html both are somewhat reliable brands any opinions?

depends on what your amp fuse rating is does it need an inline fuse? or is there one in the amp?

could be the 4 gauge. i had a supposed 4 gauge wire running to my 2100 watt amp and the wire plastic melted together with my fuse block. haha but no problems with the 0 gauge

12's and will running it through the rear deck make a big difference, rather than haviung a port in the trunk?

if i do something like this, hopefully i wont have to completly cut out the back, finding parts to this car is a bitch. haha
