do you have any vids of them? did you get the copper or aluminum coils? I haven't had time to get my new box built and all that due to college classes, but I put one of them in the car in way to big of a box with too big of a port BUT it still slams on a 1200rms. Cant wait to hear all 3. I went with copper. For comparison, I get pretty close to the same amount of air movement and vibrations as I did with 3 type r 12s. Maybe I can get a little video of the one later

whats after audio
ehckz replied to MIKE-2U's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
probaly the aq's because aparently g6s arent loud with aero ports out the side. WHICH is what a box designer told me to do >;( Take out the side panel cushion things on each side of the backseat, then the plastic piece above the seat, fold the seats down, cut a small little triangle out of the metal that the plastic was covering on each side, then make the box 13.5h, 39w, whatever deep. IT IS A BITCH to get it in there, but once you do the trunk is like 80% sealed off just by the box. -

Come to Indianapolis so we can see what gets louder in the g6, hdc3 10"s or SA 10"S Curious about this because I went with the AQs over SA. -

Thanks -
Im going to order a 250A alternator from singer and it will be running with a good battery up front and 1 maybe 2 batteries in the back. I was wondering how many watts I could run before I started to strain the electric system....I'm looking at wanting to run 2000-2500, nothing to insane but a decent amount.

Save yourself the time and do not do subs up....it is the worst...i went that route first and then found out both forward or backward sounded way better, Design like a v-shaped box facing forward or backward....

my trunk is 39 wide and I just finished a temp box that put the 3 12s lined up next to each other against the back seat, and put a port through a 6x9 slot and half ass sealed off the trunk........it got LOUD. can do mini hair tricks......

Been a member here for awhile just to look up random tidbits of info, but finally got a decent setup going. I didn't get a lot of pictures, but just took some randoms along the way. 3 12" Type R 1 mrx-m100 amp (1000 @ 2ohm) 1 farad cap 6.5" type R door speakers stock headunit using LO converter (Apt parking & college parking...rather not get it stolen) The box is around 6 cubic feet (40w 13.5h 24L), with 3 individual chambers each getting around 2 cubes...used a ton of calculators and each chamber has a 4.5" wide by 14in long port so each is tuned to 36-37 hz. The ports are facing the cabin. Probably some errors along the way but idk. Might try a new box design sometime soon but not sure what the best bet is...not like their is a lot of options the damn thing took forever to get in. I put some cheap sound deadner around the trunk for now (not very effective but it did a little) but I have some "spectrum" sitting in the garage for when there is a good time to spray the trunk. I want to eventually upgrade and get another m100 or possibly run 3 m50's instead (500 a sub). I also plan on getting a better battery and ditching the cap...but for now this setup gets the job done. Definately open to any suggestions and I have no idea if these img codes will work...

Opinons on thiis?
ehckz replied to ehckz's topic in Sundown Audio - GREAT Amps/Subs! GREAT Customer Service!
Well would you two suggest making the box a bit smaller and taking the 8s, or just put the 10s in? -
I got the 25th anniversary trans am with ttops, so i dont want to mess up the interior more than i have to. You can put "stealth boxes" in the trunk and keep the ttop racks open so i think this is a good option. How would 2 SA-8 getting recommended wattage in seperate enclosures on each side of the trunk getting .6 in a sealed stealth box sound? Or should i possibly go with 10s? I want it to be loud enough i can hear it outside the car, but i dont have much space to work with. *i dont plan on actually buying the premade boxes i can make them.
