Not familiar with car but in my g6 tons of air came through the 6x9 cutouts. And have you checked box for air leaks

I need more power, but not sure how much more the poor glass can handle lol. 2 12" lvl 4s and a apk2500 It is metering 140.x from 40hz up to like 49hz....peak was 140.9 at 43hz. ( sensor on passenger side, windshield. ) http://youtu.be/o2tGkwI1tx8

My level 4s are in a box similar to the 2nd one only it is 13.5h 39w 19d, but has similar tuning with a little less port

I didnt have anything so I rolled window down and used my hat lol. That dude working on his car came over when he got it going and asked about the subs, said they sounded great.... http://youtu.be/yD7Gf_LPG10

Ummmm - - Your stock head unit has pre-outs? If not, you are probably using a line-out converter for your input to the amp, that won't be 1v....\ Unless it is a very good LOC, it can really really really really contribute to distortion and clipping which = protect mode. I wouldn't assume that gain needs to be up, I would make sure that it is set properly. good thing you are getting that taken care of. That is probably part of the problem. I am using a LO converter right now. Maybe it is clipping hard since it was only $35. I can get a new HU whenever I want but not sure what I want to get. Checked stuff with dmm earlier just to see. Final Ohm load was .9 Fulltilt voltage was 13.64 b4 it cut off.

Guess Ill know for sure tomorrow. Going to excessive dbs

Tomorrow after work Im going to get it setup with an oscope and get it metered. Hopefully it just needs to be setup properly. Curious to see meter results though, getting violent flex.

Stinger voltage meter. I put it on the front batt also and it was about the same. I highly doubt im getting that much voltage drop because my lights dim around 12.6-13 when the car is running and they are not dimming yet. elec is stock alt and a hc2400 in back

no not using bass boost

One can assume gain needs to be up because it is a stock hu with prolly like 1v out or something lol. Also the subs are wanting more power. Voltage stays above 13.5 at idle.

I put my 2nd lvl 4 in last the other day, subs are D1s so they are wired to 1ohm (Amp is obv. 1 ohm stable (apk2500)) It will play fine full tilt as long as I want it to if the gain is less than half way however, the gain needs to be more than halfway and when I turn it up passed halfway the subs will play for anywhere from 30secs to 3mins depending on the song I guess and then the amp will just go into protect. The amp is not hot at all when it does this. Could this be a ground wire problem? I thought thats what it was originally and Ive put it in different spots and even changed locations. Could it be the stock HU is clipping hard or all the voltage out only at high volumes? Really have no idea what the problem is at this point. Speaker wires are soldered together. Amp is not touching metal. im lost. BUT WHEN IT WORKS OMFG IT SLAMS.

Get a student loan.

lolol ikr. Home depot cutting ftw.

Box was designed for a skar at 34hz, home depots cutting and my lack of tools didnt help the box any at all. I will have 2 of these beasts in pretty soon, working with jeff on here to get a better box for them. Apk2500 at .5, only using 4g power / ground so not getting full power. stock elec up front hc2000 in back. If quality is unbearable skip to end to see the air movement. http://youtu.be/va7O-tFFJvk

Heres the first vid and I just have one in for now. Ignore the terrible boxes, they are temp. Working with corona_jeff soon to get a good box for both in. It has like 2 hours total on it now, running it at .5 off a apk2500. I doubt its seeing the full 2500 right now though as the ground is pretty crappy atm and I only have 4g power wire so its whatever. Thing slams and moves a ton of air. Ignore crappy vid sound quality. is what it is http://youtu.be/va7O-tFFJvk

I will whenever I get them in the car

It took me like 3 almost 4 weeks for these......so dont worry

:clapping:

I dont have enough power for xls, they are 4s

i take exception to that statement.....Second Skin has given away THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of dollars worth of product out to members here. If someone asked me for a sample, i would send a small one too. Thats why they call it a sample. also, no need to thank that guy here on this forum. He isn't even an active member. may i get a sample of the smd LOL

Listening to this would piss me off.

That is actually pretty cool

Lol no, I bought a vvx yesterday because it will get here friday, can put it in saturday, and that will hold me over until the dcs come, which will probably be awhile because they havent shipped yet. Next time Ill buy used. Lol
