  1. Hoping it can save someone alot of frustration if they are affected. Very simply fix could save someone hours of pulling their hair out
  2. Products are subject to improvements. I had some folks angry with me when I updated my amp casings a few years back, when I discontinued the 2000s, when I discontinued the NS v.1 to make the v.2, and so forth after pretty much every new model that replaced an old model *laughs* But... things always have to improve or you will fall behind in the industry. But I agree - just find a motor and get brand new soft parts and it is like new
  3. Hey guys, Found out that at least some of the latest run of 1500s have the BR IN and BR OUT reversed. If you got one recently and plan to strap it I would check it out to see if you are affected. This has no effect on the regular inputs and is only important for strapping. This can be easily fixed DIY or you can actually just flip the cables to the opposite BR plug and just use it that way. If you want to fix them so that the labels on the side panel are correct this is what you do : * This one is correct - the cables go blue, black, black, green * This one is not correct - notice it goes green, black, black, blue * The plastic plug around the pins is backwards and the connector only plugs in one way so this piece needs to be flipped around. You can pull it off carefully with needle nose pliers and put it back on just as carefully as not to bend the pins. * This is how it should be I wasn't notified by anyone until this weekend so it may only be a few amps -- but just in case take a look at yours if you plan to strap it to make sure. You can also simply use the BR IN as the BR OUT and vice versa if you don't want to mess with the plug. We can also fix it if you are not comfortable doing it. This is ONLY the newest run of amps -- all amps shipped after today will be checked over so if you are planning to get one after now it will have been fixed if necessary.
  4. Ron, I'll get D2 specs when in... very similar to D4 except the D2 has a bit more MMS and a bit more BL.
  5. You would need a very small box... maximum 3 cubic feet for a vented enclosure.
  6. Glad everything made it safely - hope you enjoy the amp!
  7. Similar to the 2000D... going to be a bit more but less than the 3000D was.
  8. I'm about to put it in my car and do some long term testing.
  9. Yes, every amp is tested. No amp leaves here DOA. Either something happened in transit or during installation. Your dealer has contacted me and he has provided you with the appropriate information.
  10. Rough ETA for arrival... pre-sale will start when I get all arrangements final.
  11. We build them here... so 12s, 15s, and 18s. No 10s yet... working on a new spider for 10s.
  12. We actually sold out the first run of Z v.2 already *laughs* NS v.2 is ~4 weeks out I would estimate.
  13. I'll have re-cones for these when the SA-10s arrive.
  14. Emails are a bit backed up... may not have seen it yet.
  15. You can wipe it off with a CA glue accelerator -- it is screen printed. They go quite low and sound very good, IMO.
  16. A 4500D @ 1 ohm would do well on eight, IMO. Be sure to set the subsonic filter and gains appropriately.
  17. You can use a black silicone type glue to patch it -- it won't be pretty but works.
  18. My Jeep did the same thing. Normal peak is 53 hz but my 4x SA-12 box peaked at 47 Hz.
  19. My meter gets like that sometimes... where the wave display is all messed up no matter what. May not be anything at all. My best was 154.7 with similar setup -- would love to see you beat it
