  2. These will be on their way to me soon for testing... no ETA just yet, though SA-10 : FS : 31.6 Hz Qts : 0.45 Qes : 0.49 Qms : 5.64 VAS : 21.9 L Mms : 187.4 g ---------- SA-15 : FS : 30.9 Hz Qts : 0.60 Qes : 0.66 Qms : 6.12 VAS : 92.7 L Mms : 308.4 g ---------- I can't wait to get to testing If you are wondering why the Fs isn't like 20 Hz on the 15 inch... that is because we stiffened it up a bit to keep box size down.

Almost never is it necessary... I have found one or two head units with such horrible RCA pre-out voltage that even maximum gain will not get good output, in that case I did apply some bass boost for the customer.
  4. So we are bringing it back again. This is how it works. 1) You e-mail me with what you have ([email protected]) -- it MUST BE a working amplifier (no speakers, no blown amps, nothing else). 2) I tell you if I will accept this item and how much credit I will give for it. I base this on forum and e-bay resale values AND my own records of used item sales. If you are going to get offended by an offer then please don't contact me - I have *extensive* used item re-sale experience from the previous trade-in program so I am very familiar with what I can ACTUALLY get for used items. 3) You either accept or deny my offer... if you accept the offer you then ship the item in to be tested. As long as the item is as described the credit is now available -- any cash balance to get your new Sundown amp is now due. ONLY NEW amplifiers and woofers can be purchased with the trade credit, this does not applied to used, refurbished, or close-out items. Trade credit is applied towards the MAP price of the new Sundown product you want. 4) Once the balance is paid we will ship your product out. ----- USED ITEM POLICY: When we re-sell the used amplifiers there will be NO warranty beyond a no DOA guarantee. THAT IS IT. We will be testing every trade-in item to make sure it works but there is no further guarantee. The item must be tested in no more than 5 days after receiving it -- do not e-mail me 2 weeks later saying it was DOA. This has been a problem in the past... there are no exceptions. If you don't have the time or capability to test it within 5 days DO NOT BUY IT.
  5. They did quite well in the recent woofer round up as well I might add : http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/s...ead.php?t=12089 "Z15 wins my award for best sounding thus far. in the 3.5 at 38hz it was so clean and crisp. I know this is mostly judged by ear but anyone who heard it could agree." http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/s...ead.php?t=12086 http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/s...ead.php?t=12085 http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/s...ead.php?t=12088
  6. In response to the current economic situation we are lowering our MAP pricing. Cost for our amps from an authorized dealer outside of a pre-order or special sale have changed as follows : SAZ-1000D : $355 OLD / $315 NEW SAZ-1500D : $570 OLD / $500 NEW SAZ-2000D : $670 OLD / $615 NEW SAX-125.2 : $255 OLD / $240 NEW SAX-100.4 : $395 OLD / $365 NEW The prices listed under "NEW" are now available at any authorized Sundown dealer. I sent out a dealer news-letter this morning, so if your dealer has any questions have them call me.
  7. I am discontinuing the SAX-50.4 and the Sundown Z15 Woofer. Paypal me at [email protected] to order. The SAX-50.4 close-out is also available at any authorized dealer -- the Z15 close-out is only available from me directly. ---------- SAX-50.4 -- $200 shipped in continental 48 states I will still include a 2-year warranty on these. Most customers shopping for an amp at this power level are more concerned about $ to watt and less about crossover flexibility. So we are closing out the 50.4 and will be developing a less expensive model to replace it without as much crossover flexibility to offer more watts per dollar. ---------- Sundown Z15 D2 or D4 -- $250 shipped in continental 48 states SPECIFY COIL WHEN ORDERING. NO DOA Warranty ONLY These are VERY high quality subs... built in the USA. I have found that most customers simply want higher power handling and SPL and less SQ from a sub at this level... so we will be developing a new driver as such to replace these. I am a bit disappointing as these are one of my favorite woofers. SPECS : Fo= 28.585 Hz Sd= 83.000m M2 Krm= 6.988m Ohm Erm= 0.927 Kxm= 133.190m H Exm= 0.630 Vas= 105.275 L Cms= 107.617 uM/N Mms= 288.070 g BL= 26.107 T·M Qms= 5.000 Qes= 0.467 Qts= 0.427
  8. The remote has some "clicks" in it and that can make the sub move a bit - don't worry about it.
  9. The first part of the knob has the most effect.
  10. I always run mine strapped if I have more than one. Much easier to configure, IMO, and I have great SPL and music results
  11. Haven't really been through all my e-mails yet, still working on it!
  12. Depends on what model and the size.
  13. Who would be interested in seeing this come back ??

I thought about taking it out but some folks absolutely MUST have it -- primarily at local dealers. So I simply reduced it to 6 dB, which is MUCH less likely to tear up something than 18 dB.
  15. http://www.sundownaudio.com/index.php/warranty.html Obviously it doesn't cover abuse and damage from too much power.
  16. More power this time... current clamp shows ONE coil. We hooked each coil up to a seperate 120v circuit for a total power of ~8800 watts at the start, dropped to the 7000s then stayed around that point until failure at 30 seconds. Prior to this video we had JUST finished plugging it in to one socket in series for around 2000 watts for FIVE MINUTES - so it was already hot! The Monster lives up to it's name. If you are wondering about the frame... Brandon had two in his wall without motor supports and it broke off some of the screws allowing the bottom to swing out and break off the top of the frame. So... motor supports are a must.
  17. Length is roughly equal to the 3500D
  18. There she is Basically stretched the current amp out so it is as close to matching as possible. Feet moved to the ends to keep width increase down as much as possible.
  19. FYI... it will take me into early next week to sort through the e-mails and PMs I did not get to while on vacation.
  20. I have the case drawing... will post it up soon.
  21. Will have these in a few weeks ! Get your pre-order in ASAP
  22. Just got in... home from vacation
