  1. More than a 2000D and a bit less than a 3000D.
  2. It's the same throughout this time.
  3. You need to talk to our Canadian distributor.
  4. Yes, that will be overkill... big time.
  5. Alvin, In a good enclosure they will take alot of power. The standard 2 Z spider pack is what Team Sundown Derrick used in Daytona to win Bass Boxing in his class with two 3500Ds on each woofer So they can handle alot of abuse in a good enclosure!
  6. Case by case basis... if so all trades and all cash balance must be sent in at once. I will be taking very limited trades on these.
  7. Pre-ordering NOW OPEN... pre-order runs until July 4th or while supplies last. ETA is the end of July -- as always this is subject to delays and is not set in stone! Before opening ordering 20% of this run is already accounted for in large Team builds... so get them early if you want them from the first run. COST : $525 shipped in the continental USA - Regular MAP Pricing is $775 * Contact me for AK and HI orders * USA ONLY SALE TO ORDER PAYPAL ME AT [email protected] with Subject "SAZ-2500D Pre-Order" or talk to your favorite online or local Sundown Audio dealer. ---------- This amp is a beast... it has the output section of the SAZ-3000D and a strong power supply to back it up using new, more powerful, power supply MOSFET parts. All of this in a package only 1" longer than the SAZ-2000D. ---------- Ratings : 2500 @ 1 ohm 1200 @ 2 ohms 600 @ 4 ohms ---------- Testing : Wired @ 1 ohm in Derrick's Explorer : 1690 Watts 21.4 Amps 78.97 Volts 3.69 ohms Actual Wired @ 0.25 in Derrick's Explorer: 3360 Watts 63 Amps 53 Volts 0.85 ohm actual Around 14v actual voltage 16v testing not done yet... will have that when I get new batteries for my Jeep. ---------- * Sitting Next to SAZ-2000D Model (2500D to the right) * Another angle - you can see the 2500D is only about 1" bigger (2500D on top)
  8. I am building some for a foreign market and they turned out pretty well. Before I start offering them in mass I am making a different spider but these worked out very well. The new spider will sit down on the 7" landing to give more cone to spider clearance. I'll put up some specs before I ship them off.
  9. I'll have them in 3-4 weeks but right now there are none.
  10. They are fine with less than 600 watts.
  11. You can get it from the outside. Go to lowes and get this : http://www.amazon.com/Henkel-1060027-Loctite-0-5-Ounce-Instant-Mix/dp/B001W9SFTG The long mixer tube makes it easy.
  12. We don't have any more E8s and the v.2 is not out yet. That can be easily fixed with some 5 minute epoxy, though.
  13. For an install that is intended to be permanent I would agree. When I was doing SPL on a regular basis in my Jeep, for example, it was lucky to have the same setup for 5 days at a time. Making it all pretty would be alot of work for nothing. Folks that are serious about SPL changes things constantly so it needs to be easy to get in and out and to move things (eg: don't cut the cables too short).
  14. The box peak is overcoming the vehicle peak at this point. I plan to do dampening all over -- I read over Terry Brock's log and he did it everywhere and is the loudest CRX in North America as far as I know If the frequency changes I will build the final box accordingly. IMO the problem when folks lose SPL is the frequency changes on them -- in my Jeep it actually rose 3 Hz.
  15. I put the sub box and amp in there in an hour today just to see if it would work -- eg: throwing whatever is laying around in there... scraps of wood, etc. Entire rest of install = last Saturday... power wire, speaker wires, battery, etc. Being that SPL installs change so often it is silly to neaten them up.
  16. If I can get 10k of power in this little car *laughs* It is more efficient than the Jeep at this power level... and I still need to do LOTS of dampening in the CRX.
  17. Oh yah... stock alternator too... need to get a big one on here as I cannot get that many batteries to fit.
  18. So... I got tired of not going to any shows so I've thrown something in the CRX. Took my "magic box" from the Jeep and threw my prototype Monster 15" in there as it was the only D1 sub I found laying around and powered it with the prototype 2500D. * Stinger SPP1500 under the hood with oval 1/0 Stinger flex wire -- one run power and one run ground to the back. * Upgraded factory ground wire here too. * Got it in behind the b-pillar. SAX-100.4 under the box. * Wire mess with distribution blocks. * Magic box in all of it's glory. * SAZ-2500D is under these boards. Just threw this in quickly with scraps to test. ... drum roll ... * Also did 150.1 but didn't take photo... clamped ~1300 watts of power. Big rise + lacking electrical = not alot of power. Peaking at 52 Hz... not right for the CRX at all -- but interestingly this is MORE efficient than the same box in my Jeep. So I may just keep adding power to it Interior in the back is stripped to prepare for dampening... so hopefully I can get results of dampening addition soon! Second Skin Damplifier Pro of course!
  19. Working on a few more tweaks to these first.
  20. 8x SA-12s would do well =) Use D4 coils and wire the amp to 1 ohm series / parallel.
