  1. I should have my prototype in hand next week... likely by Wednesday or so. Then I'll get some pictures of it put together as a 15 before I drop it in my Jeep!
  2. Okay guys - more news ! Just got off the phone. This is the deal... they were in a container with something else that was in violation of customs regulations... so they held the whole container up rather than unloading all the other stuff in it. I wasn't told that this was the reason for delay until yesterday after my previous update. Would have been nice for the customs people to have been more up front rather than promising dates and missing them. ANYWAY... they released everything now and I am expecting them Monday - Tuesday. Will take a few days to ship them all out... so they should all be shipped by Friday next week.
  3. Special Holiday pricing on the SAZ-1500D and SAZ-2000D models available until January 8th, 2010 -- or while supplies last ! SAZ-1500D @ $425 each SAZ-2000D @ $525 each Shipped in continental 48 states ! To order contact your favorite Sundown Audio dealer OR send me a Paypal to [email protected] This sale is for USA ONLY.
  4. It is - primarily since it doesn't have the enormous crossover cards of the newest SAX-100.4
  5. They will not be in today... I raised some hell with them on the phone as the amps have been sitting in the USA since the 20th... but for some reason they can't get together and send them to me.
  6. http://www.facebook.com/#/video/video.php?...5783&ref=mf
  7. Yah, there will be a pre-sale -- but not until I do extensive testing on it.
  8. I expect full MSRP to be under $299
  9. Tune low... 30 Hz or so... 0.75 cubes.
  10. I have a prototype SAE-100.4 on the way with my 1200D shipment... here are a few pictures of it to share : It features a new double sided board design like the SAE-1200D v.2 does. Crossovers are very basic as it is an SAE model and it is also made in China alongside the SAE-1200D. This will NOT replace any SAX multi-channel models... it is simply a part of our lower cost SAE line. There is NO ETA YET... price is also pending.
  11. They can be run sealed and they will sound fine -- but they are optimized for ported.
  12. There will be several hundred in the first production run... based on my experience with the E8s that could go very quickly.
  13. Customized Z v.1 motor being built with a Nightshade v.1 coil and 12" frame.
  14. Triple joint ring installed : Custom sub I am building for a customer... so I tried one out on there It is glued with thick CA at the bottom @ the spiders, thin CA is filled in for the thickness of the ring between it and the former, then thick CA applied again on the coil winding side in the angled part on the back of the ring. Gives alot of glue surface area and makes it VERY hard to break the rear joint.
  15. I would if I were you since you want quite a few.
  16. I am expecting these to go quick... so if you want them get the pre-order in early.
  17. Okay guys - as always the ETA was wrong from my last post. I am now being told I should have them AROUND Wednesday next week. This doesn't mean everybody call me Wednesday -- I'll ship em AS SOON AS they get here
  18. Not sure... supposed to be soon, though.
  19. D4 are almost gone... have a fair amount of D2.
  20. These are getting low but are still available.
  21. LoL... don't worry I'll get more pics when it arrives.
  22. Overhang x-max is easy to calculate. (Coil Height - Top Plate Height) / 2 So by this basic method you have 15.5mm This isn't really accurate on a LGLC topology... it's actually closer to 25mm since at the overhang point you still have 25mm coil in the gap.
