i ordered my package from amazon. im a cheap kind of guy so i used the super saver shipping. well ive been tracking the package on fed ex and now it says this " Shipment information sent to U.S. Postal Service" and it hasn't checked in anywhere since the 15th of the month. so i went to the postal service web site and it says this Package Services {Electronic Shipping Info Received September 15, 2011} {Delivery Confirmation}™ so my question is why is it being sent through the post office and fedex, and should i be worried that it hasnt checked in anywhere yet

i might need to research that. see my dilemma is i didn't think this through all the way. i bult my amp rack and the box for my horns out of scrap birch. and then i stained them with some ranch oak. well then i realized that my box is mdf. so i'm kinda stuck. unless i can find some dark paint close to the stain. or if i cover the mdf in some .25 ply

how can you finish an mdf box with out wrapping it. i know you can paint it or cover it in bed-liner. but can you use like an oil based stain or anything like that?

i dont mean to thread jack but my 2000 jeep Cherokee has the older style bulbs where you replace the whole housing. thats why i asked

well how would you put hids in a older car where when you replace the lights you replace the bulb and the housing EDIT: hope that clears it up

no extra battery yet. planning on saving up for whatever xs power battery i can fit.as for the amp ground to the frame i dont think i will have enough wire in the kit to run it. seeing as i only have 3 feet of ground wire

for the big three or for the amp? i was asking about the amp ground. yeah for the big three i know 1 goes to the engine from the battery and one goes from the frame to the battery. i don't really like the way the battery is grounded to the fender currently

Well a 600 watt 6 channel sounds to me like 100-200 rms. Which isn't pulling much at all. So just find a place on the chassis, sand it off and tap a bolt/nut or screw. With that much power you don't really need to do big 3, but it's always there for future builds/upgrades. yeah. it isnt much power. i just wanna do everything right so i dont damage my amp, and so i don't constantly have problems with it. i still wanna do the big three eventually. like you said its already done whenever i decide to upgrade, plus it'll get rid of the old dingy fades wires

i need some advice on what to ground to in my 2000 jeep cherokee. my seat dosent have brackets, it just has two hinges and im not sure how they attach. i dont have enough wire to reach my spare tire holder, and i dont think there is really anything else besides the sheet metal on the body. would it be a good enough to ground to the body?
