  1. Well the 3 30 amp fuses should say something. Not even close to 1500 watts on 90 amps.
  2. At one point it started to stink so I let off but I was really giving it alot. The sub is only a week old so Im still in the break in period. I smell clip....... and if they stink after 4 mins of playing then you need to find someone with a scope! Dustcap warmth is normal, as stated above. The 4min youtube video is not when it started to stink. It was fine then. I was just wondering about how warm the dust cap should get. The time i started to smell it was when I was showing off. I have a 45min drive to and from work so after abusing it for 45min on my way home I pulled in the drive and one of my friends was there to check it out. Thats when I really laid into it and started to smell it.
  3. Im building a box for my single Sa 12. The box is 1.8cf. What size Aeroports would I need to tune to around 34 hertz? The sub would face back into the trunk. Does it matter if the ports were ported into the cab or is it better to port it into the trunk? Does it matter where the ports are? This is my first box build so Im still learning.
  4. If Jacob from Sundown had anything to do with these then yes they handle way more than rated. He rates Sundown and Obsidian subs very conservative. If you do run more power to them its gotta be clean power. From what I hear they can handle 1000rms of clean power all day long. My Sundown SA 12 takes a beating and I run well over 1000rms daily.
  5. 31wide x 15high x 15deep. the depth can be deeper if needed
  6. Do you have any designs for a 2005 Honda Accord. I have a single Sundown SA12. I would like to use the back seat port.
  7. Does the SA12 sound good in a sealed enclosure? I know its not going to be as loud or hit as low but will it still hit hard in a sealed box. Also what does ^3 and F3 mean? I see specs for sealed enclosure says 1.00ft ^3 -- F3 of 44 hertz. Someone explain? I love the way it hits in the ported spec box. How much would I lose going sealed.
  8. The SD's are nice looking subs. How do they compare to the Sa series. I mean will they perform like the Sa's with handling more power? They are only 100rms less with less than half the magnet.
  9. Thanks Jacob. Im really loving these subs. They are incredable. I figured it was normal to get warm by everything I have read, but I was not sure how warm was normal. I guess as long as its not smoking im good! lol I have watched hundreds of videos on these subs before I made my decision and I would have to say that these are the most abused subs I have seen on youtube and they just take it like a champ.
  10. At one point it started to stink so I let off but I was really giving it alot. The sub is only a week old so Im still in the break in period. n How is it that these subs are so loud and handle more than rated? A better question is why are they rated so low but they friggin pound. I see all over the internet most are running them with no less than 1000watts without hurting them.

  12. Well I did a little 4 min youtube video and the cone was warm. Gains are set about half way and bass boost is zero. I know its over powered running it at 1 ohm. I can rewire it at 4 ohms @700rms.
  13. I have a Sundown SA12 d2 on a Soundstream 1600d. I just want to know how warm the dust cap should get after beating it for a while. Should it get warm or will it always stay cool?
