  1. Simple, ohms doesn't work, it is a unit of measurement, it is the measurement of resistance in conductive metal.
  2. If you were having issues with the iraggi one then changes are you will need a custom bracket made and I would put as many alts under the hood as you can fit if you plan on daily 3 of those aq3500's, I have two and a quad kit and don't have any voltage problems. But you could just get more batts to offset the amps, those three amps will pull at full tilt 380x3 so 1140, I would say you need at least half that in alt and then a hand full of batts or more alt and less batts. Your choice.
  3. If you are gonna make a statement like 160+ on music, and you put up video of a truck that isn't even put together. People aren't going to take you seriously back up what you say, when you say it. This is FAIL!!!!
  4. I did one in my evo X for a JL w6 12, just search from my evo x build log it is a few pages back in this section.
  5. I would trade for batteries or electrical stuff like a few rolls of 0 gauge, don't need subs. Thanks
  6. I found they like 6 cubes tuned at 45 hz in a pickup for solid loud SPL....LOL. But yeah, 6 cubes seems to make them happy or pretty close to it.
  7. Is that gross or net 5.2? Those get very nasty with 6 cubes and the power you have.
  8. That L7 is gonna hate that setup. They like really big boxes with alot of port area. They are bitch honestly to model because they behave really peaky. Good luck. I don't think it will do that well with that design.
  9. If it is an automatic, go to the left of the brake pedal where the clutch pedal would be and drill a hole there. That is what I did on any import I every worked on. If it is a manual then it is a little more difficult, go to the left of the clutch pedal closer to the fender. And like mentioned above, use a grommet!!!
  10. Alt is messed up, regulator or bad brush contact.
  11. He said it works with the truck off so I would contact stetsom anyway.
  12. Turn your ac and headlights and every electrical thing you can think of in order to lower the voltage and see if the amp works, if it is still saying over voltage then something wrong with the amp.
  13. With those figures, 26 long for 36 hz and 30 long for 34, but with a port that long that is going to take away more net and make the box even way smaller. Cuz at 36 hz tuning you are at a 1.0 cube worth of port, so that brings your net cubes down to 2.4 without the sub. WAY too small, you would need a shit load of power to make it do anything. You should consider either selling the sub or making a sealed box that is 3.4 cubes.
  14. Unless that amp is rating 3000 watts real power at crazy ass ohm load, any way you look at it you have some 1/3 multiple of the ohm load, so it puts a odd ohm load on the amp, like 2.66 for example depending on subs svc or dvc and all the possible ohm configs you can get. I will just say this, since you say he is a "super noob", he is not getting 1000 watts to each sub. Since that was your original question.
  15. Alt is fucked, that is a ad244 series alt most likely all of the HO series ad244 series alt have a voltage set point of 14.9 cold. So if at idle you are not charging that high, regulator is done or the brush is not making good contact. But you said it does okay once you raise rpm, so I would say voltage regulator, contact mechman and have them fix it. That is one of the common components that can fail. No biggie.
  16. Great video, the number of spider layers does matter, otherwise when you start to get to the limit of the woofer, you will no longer be able to hold the woofer inside the magnetic gab and bam over excursion.
