can my charging system handle it?
Dale replied to joey2714's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
From battery under hood to batteries in the back: I advise you to fuse this. Many people don't, though. But if something happens your car can be on fire. So FUSE it. Between the batteries in the back: You don't have to fuse this. Make sure the batteries are close together and make the wire as short as possible. So DONT fuse this. From Batteries in the back to amps: Your choice. But I suggest you fuse it. Just to be on the safe side. Ppl might call me a chicken for fusing this but you can never be too safe. -

I wouldn't worry about getting an isolator. That's only really necessary if you plan to bump with your car turned off. About having enough juice: I think your alternator along with your batteries will handle 8K Watts just fine. Remember, those kinetiks are real monsters. -

Just like me...I only have patience when you actually LEARN...or when I'm high. But Accordman, you're talking about PATCHING a program (switching files in the install dir.). That's mad easy. I was talking about reverse-engineering a proggy using tools like softICE or something. i do all that stuff, its easy for me but i wouldnt expect someone to do that. Yeah...that's nice man. It can be very time consuming. I have lost interest in trying to do that. I love building...not breaking :^ -

Man that thing looks like it's going to hit hard. TTB designs some really good enclosures. Especially Pete. About giving it the full 4000 RMS: I think it is safe to give it its full power, but beware: bandpass boxes usually "mask" the stress of the sub and minimizes distortion, so it's diff. to tell when your sub is under stress. That happened to me once when I overpowered two 10" subs in a bandbass. I never heard distortion or anything. But the coils roasted. So be careful.

MosDef man. Akon did way better on this album than he did on the last (locked up). I especially love that track he did with Ric, though it's not on his CD. "Cross that line" Thats the shit right ther.
