ok found hu clipping, set bass amp up all good now on to the 4ch hu up to 33 and gain all the way up while playing track 6 and detects 1kHz but I can turn gain all the way upand no distortion??? SMH

are you direct connect from HU to amps or have anything else between HU and amp?

I can leave the eq and crossover out the loop but I really need to keep crossover in the mix, it is keeping my super tweeters at a good frequency range. :/

lol seems like were benny hilling in and out threads lol. I thought about just putting the levels on each device midway and going from there but isn't that way of thinking wrong?

Well I found my Hu doesn't clip??? Followed istructions and the distortion light doesn't turn on even maxed to 35? If thats cool so be it. Now I also have a clarion eq after the HU going to a crossover then from there to a mono amp and a 4ch amp. My thimg is that the eq and crossover have there on level knobs and don't want to send distortion to the amps from any of these devices. What do I do? Everythimg seems very.straight forward this is my only hiccup. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Steve I was typing while you posted, what you say is true. Chevy I don't mean to come off in a bad way just hope you will umderstand when and if you start a dig. I had ordered this even with the wife mad dogging me and there was a delay, school was right about to start and she needed more fumds for school cloths amd supplies, I had to pull rip cord on my order and felt like ass for doing it. I didn't want to look like a temper tantrum so what I normally keep within my personal life I felt like I had to explain. I don't do this much. These guys here opened my eyes to whole other level.

I was assuming you had to check rca's leaving each device for distortion much like we used to do for clipping with tpi 440. basically checking each link in the chain all the way to the amp. I also have a eq and external crossover that has its own "level knobs" and don't know how to go about that.

find what does rated rms closest to 13.8 volts maybe? just my opinion I'd lean to the HCCA. good luck.

And the eq has volume and bass knob that boosts the signal which again cause amp to clip sub. A ways back I used a tpi 440 to get clean signal from that same eq and for me it went like this, HU 28 clean, eq folume knob 1 o'clock and bass knob 11 o'clock and thats with the bands centered. From there I set gain on amp. You have to look for clippimg from the HU down the chain of devices such as eq's and crossovers all the way down to amp.

Thats good to hear. I think that there always has been steady movement on the progress of this device. Theres a update video a page or two back with all the info anyone needs from the man himself. Everything going to turn out alright.
