    Built a wheel that won't kill me. Last one was pretty irreparablebly dickered. First time doing anything like it. Wasn't too bad tbh, just need to be methodical and patient.

     

    3sp internal gearing, plus 9sp wide range cassette. That was the final step, now it's officially done.

     

    Final result is an ace of spades, king of none that will comfortably do forest trails and street use. Usable speed range from 2 to 35mph with comfortable pedaling.

     

    Only other bit is a stronger fork... But ill tackle that if or when any issues present themselves. Shits expensive at the moment

    Finally got another bike after someone cut the fucking lock off my last one.... Went a little crazy and did a thing...

    Have another couple bits and bobs to wrap up on it, but it's there and rideable. Bigger brakes, storage baggie. Going to do some shenanigans with the rear hub to get my gear range back since I only have a single front sprocket now.

    It's a fucking blast to ride. And it's pretty nice not having to pay out the ass for parking lmao.

    Definitely not taking chances with this one. Have a fat ass fucking chain lock, U-lock, motion sensing alarm on it, and the thing comes inside with me when I'm home. Want to put GPS tracking on it, but have yet to find a tracker that tickles my fancy. Open to suggestions if anyone knows of anything - goal being to have something hidden in the frame or otherwise concealable, 7d+ battery life, <$10/mo subscription cost, and doesn't look like the manufacturer is going out of business (only 2 I found that I liked, the company is all but MIA).

    1500w mid drive, 650wh battery. Get about 20mi on a charge riding like a bat out of hell. Closer to 40-50 if I'm reasonable

  16. Need help with smd dd1+

    -Skar vxf 12 dual 2

    -skar skv2 2500

    -stock head unit 

    -clarion eq755 

    - Xs power D3400R under the hood

    -SHCA 1/0 gauge all around

     

    You'll know if the preamp is weak because the signal light either won't come on, or will flicker. You can sanity check this by setting it through your amp - turn the gain low and see if the head unit distorts.

    IIRC, some stock radios use a hard limiter of some variety so they won't distort. They just cap gain at a given threshold

    Qts is a derived value. 1/Qts = 1/Qms + 1/Qes
     


    With that said..... You're correct on there being a discrepancy. Wonder if they pulled values at different times during lab testing or under different conditions (breather hole covered vs. open).

    If you need accurate values, might be worth your time to free air the things for 2-3 days to get the suspension in steady state, then pull parameters yourself.

    I'm sorry you've had such a poor experience. But this forum is geared more to sales / trades with other SMD members. Not for airing your grievances against some random etailer you found on facebook.

    This would be best handled through paypal / your credit card company. There is nothing we can do here based on word of mouth from a new member against someone who doesn't have a presence here on SMD.

    Yeah that's the hope. Between DDR5, PCIe5, ATX12vo, socket changes from AMD, and silicon shortages.... Oh and I guess HDD shortages.... This rig's gotta last me for a bit. Everything needs to sort itself before I consider doing anything new.
