hello, im wanting to build a box for 2 18" btls. this is what i have came up with 1ts about 13.8 ft^3 net volume, the port area per foot is 14.5 inches squared with 200 inches of port area and tuned to 32hz. will this sound pretty good? it will be just a daily set up powered with 2 aq2200s and sufficient electrical upgrades

hey steve when you made those cuts in the pictures above, are the cuts on the inside corner or the outside?

this is where i get kinda hesitant about getting a bigger amp. is there anything more then just basic install 101 that i need to know to make this work?

so just to kinda make things a little clearer the aq3500 does 4300 watts @ 1ohm at 14.4 volts. that would be a good match for the mayhem 18?

well i figured if i seal the trunk opening with some mdf and foam and then come out about a foot inside the cab where the back seat used to be it would give me about 11 or 12 cubic feet

ya i was planning on running 2 amps. im not sure why i guess its the way ive always done it. but what about that powerbass xa-400d amp? and 2 of them? or just stick with sundown or that stetsom amp?

im sure this is probably basic knowledge but why would you run 7000 watts to the sub when it says its rated at 2500?. im not experienced enough to get crazy about it and go below 1ohm. i was thinking if i went dual 2ohm on the subs id wire them at 1ohm on the sub. and oldsboomer why would it be hard to seal off the trunk and have the subs and port facing inside the cab? and if the 2500 watts rated doesnt really do the sub justice what about this amp - http://www.audiosavings.com/products/Car-Amplifiers/NEW-POWERBASS-XA-4000D-4000-WATT-RMS-MONO-CAR-AMPLIFIER/XA-4000D.aspx

its not gonna be walled, but the subs will basically be right behind the front seats and going to seal off the trunk. i have the hifnoics bxi 2610 and 2 olm2145s in there now. it sounds great compared to other systems ive had. i went with them basically for the bang for the buck factor. but with this new system in the making im wanting to basically go all out. so ill want to go with amps that are a little cleaner power than what i have now. ive heard the mayhem 18 can put out like 3000 - 3500 or so but is it safe to go that high without causing damage?

i was lookin at a 250 or 270 amp alt. i was hoping to spend about 1000 on the amp or amps, but if i need to spend a little more thats fine to. i was looking at the sundown 2500's. powering them at 1ohm

there going in a 2007 mustang. ill have xs under the hood as well as in the rear. any suggestions?

what amp would be recommended to power a mayhem 18. i would be getting 2 of the subs so any ideas on a single or multiple amps? is there a benefit going with 1 or 2?

in just simple terms the mayhem series are 2500 watts. i have a hifonics bxi2610 amp putting about 2500 watts or so, would that be a good match or would i need a higher quality amp?

id say i have about 8 cubic feet or so in the trunk so would 2 15s or 1 18 be better? im good with custom making boxes and what not so that would not be a problem

i have 2 hifonics olm 2415s in it now, but im ready to go kinda over the top. what does wall it mean?

hello, i am looking at the ascendant audio mayhem 18. (if anyone has info on how i can get a hold of one that would be nice to)but can i fit one of those in a 2007 mustang? i mean ya i can get it to fit but like can a box big enough be built for it in the trunk or even taking out the back seats?
