2000 mustang GT
bigkevy replied to MustangGT's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
if you have the patience and a creative mind you can make some things happen. if needed you can always mount the amps in the seats and what not to get a little more airspace -
i would say on the first picture id use a sawzall or a jigsaw. i also used a dremel with a little cut off wheel and it worked but slowly. i would only do that lip though and not go too much into that brace. in the second picture i would use a dremal with the cut off wheel. you need something small enough to get in there and be able to control it.

thanks for the info. i stopped by my local stereo shop and asked them. of course if they don't sell it then they have never heard of it and dont recommend it (like half the brands on here). but was sayin that in a boat the fiber glass or whatever needs more pitch to sound good so it would take some tuning to sound good in a car -
an exblode somethin or other. didnt realize it was not a sony until like a year later

2005 Navigator Build Log
bigkevy replied to meade916's topic in Just Meade....my projects - Tons of SMD Builds here!
i swear i learn 22348723482374 new things every time i go through one of your builds. your work is definitely beyond the next level! -
i was thinking of going all rf power series. id have the t1692 in the bottom of the door and then 2 or 3 1652s towards the top of the door. this would be on both sides obviously and then probably 2 1652s on each side in the back seat area, so id probably end up doin 3 t400.4s its all going in a mustang, kinda goin for the WOW factor

sorry i meant 2 4 channel amps and what do i need to install between my head unit and my amps to make it an active set up?
-
so im going to have 8 speakers on 4 2 channel amps then 2 sub amps, so what would i need between my hu and my amps to make them active? sorry i know a lot of questions, ill admit im a noob!!!
-
i might be opening a can of worms but is there a benifit to going active or passive
-
thanks for the info. ive always really just done subs and never really thought about the mids and highs until this new build, so as much as id love to get the 360 and all its cool features i think i would be in a little over my head at this point. if im tryin to get loud and sound decent then would the eq work? or would i really need to go with a xover and processor too?
-
thanks. ill do a lil google searching and see what i can find on it
-
any thoughts?
-
hello, im looking for something to tie my mids and highs and my subs on a new build im planning. would something like the AudioControl EQS be what im looking for? or should i wait for the new rf 360

ya. im not to skilled in photoshop so i decided to keep the drawing simple, but there will be a few more turns and corners in it. but ya the thinner part will be in the trunk. im not sure if its the right spot to do it but can anyone give me a run down on how to strap 2 aq2200s together?
-
its going in a mustang, like a half wall
-
what do you mean by allowing it to strap the amps? this is my first big setup so i want to make sure i get everything right thanks
-
i havent ordered them yet but i was thinking everything and set up for daily with dual 2ohm. lets say down the road i wanted to add bigger amps, would this box still work?
