  1. Made some wire guides out of clear 1/4" acrylic so when the wires tuck under the top amp i can keep them straight and even.  I didn't want to stick LED's straight to my amp, to me that seems cheesy....so i figured this would also be a great place to mount those.

While i was working on this, my son @Antheny916 came over and started making my custom length RCA's for me.  At least the first side. Once the processor is ready to be hooked up and the wires routed, we will trim and make ends for them.  Thanks Ant! They came out GREAT!

On Titan8 batteries there are built in 2/0 connections on the sides and small tabs on the sides so you can attach them together without having to  use typical bus bars.  Look up the Titan8 batteries if you dont know what I'm talking about.  If you saw the broken calipers he accidently welded together recently thats how he did it... He forgot about the extra connections available and touched them.

EDIT: He's actually using some of them to run the 2/0 wires.  Each side of a Titan8 has 4 2/0 terminals. There is also another little tab you can use to bus them that he is not using.

The Titan8 is just tricked out!  Pricey but they can be setup so clean and all that extra bussing built saves on bus bars too.  They really arent that high priced outta the price range of other batteries even though people say they are.  I got mine for $530.  Could have gotten bit less if I had a looked a bit more I found out later.

unless you are a dealer or you know a dealer willing to sell to you and make nothing, you aren't getting them that cheap. Just thought i would point that out.  That is actually cheaper than dealer. The average person is NOT getting them for $530. Just didn't want anyone to get their hopes up.  Be prepared for $800+ each. The reserve model is closer to $900.

  4. these XS Power Titan 8 S6 (14v) Lithiums have 3 different connection options. Built in interconnects (sides), hidden 1/0,2/0 terminals (from the bottom), or standard like normal. I chose the hidden bottom side connects. I would have for sure done the side connects had i paid attention during the design phase 🤦🤣. I can’t do them the way they are sitting. I’m totally ok with that though. Bring on the Skyhigh Car Audio 2/0 OFC!

  5. time to drill and tap the acrylic so i can mount the amps down. I used stainless 10-24 with tapered T-20 torx bit head. Fits in the amp like it was meant to be.

Also started to wire it all up. I used Skyhigh 2/0 black and white OFC power cable, 10 ga OFC speaker cable (midbass) 12ga OFC (mids/highs). I also will be doing 8ga black/white speaker cable up to for the sub amps when i get to that part. I used ferrules on everything and since the sleeves are an ugly color i covered them in heat shrink and tucked them into their guide rails. See pics below! More coming soon!

That's bad ass! No particular reason behind it, and not that it matters at all, but I'm a 12" guy. This build is going to be sick!

Just out of curiosity, what impedance load will you be sending the amps? (I don't know the proper term for what I'm trying to ask, sorry lol) Will you strap them? Or just run 3 subs with the 2 channels bridged? Just curious how you'll be running those bad ass amps.

planning on .67 ohms for each set of 3.

I'm sure this build is going to totally amazing, because its SMD ! Wouldn't expect anything less :)

But I'm thrown off by a few things, and trying figure it out.

    1) Your only going to be giving your 15"s, 1500 wts RMS each ? Aren't you giving the subs in your Tahoe like 5-6 Kwts ?

    2) I know those amps are TOP quality, and probably make super clean, efficient power, but it seems odd to me that that they make the 2 x 1500 RMS amplifier (which your using on your subs) and a 4 x 1500 wts RMS that your using for mids / highs, and they have the same footprint ?

    3) So your going to be making 6 Kwts (for all four ch) total for your four 15"s.... and 12 Kwts (for all eight ch) total for your mids/highs ?

Am I missing something here ?

i'm not sure what the Tahoe has to do with this. Sorry man two totally different vehicles, totally different system's.

Anyway, as far as the mids/highs and the power i have on tap, it is more about the channels than the power.  But i will definitely have an endless amount of headroom.  The subs will be slightly underpowered as far as total rated power handling but they will still get stupid busy.

  8. I made a few changes to my new amp rack. Had to make room for the 5th battery (on the way) plus a few other mods. Multiple layers of 1/2” and 1/8” acrylic (Clear, mirror, white and black) were used. The pieces are still loose, i will probably bond them together tomorrow. I have a lot more to do of course before it will take shape, but this is where it’s at right now. I can’t wait to see how it looks in the Caddy! These D'Amore Engineering amps are gonna look nutty when those displays light up!

  9. Man...in the time since i started this, my shop has completely gone bonkers as far as business is concerned. We have been BUSY! I have done a few builds for other people while waiting on some items for THIS vehicle. Specifically the D'Amore Engineering amplifiers. They are here, my XS Power Titan 8 Lithiums are here and i think it is time to get started.  Here are some updated pics.
