we have needed a better van for a long time since nobody but me will drive the ‘98 astrovan with the tore up seat. We have so many packages to ship it makes Kay Kay’s Yukon sag and scrape the fenders. So it was time. We shopped most the afternoon and found this one.  Keep in mind, it is bare bones now but a LOT can be done to them. Sorry, for now i have no plans to turn this into a bass-machine. But the astro is now free...hmmmmm

more new stuff on the way to help keep up with the demand of the products (laser 3 (another 150w co2)) and a 1500w fiber laser for metal! I dont have a lot to show yet because so far onky one has shown up. The other is supposed to arrive tomorrow.

some of these are just practice trying to get it right. Bit they really come out bold on that anodized aluminum! i can also put black logos on raw aluminum and also chrome. If you coukd do a custom logo what would you want?

the best high output alternators in the business imo is @MECHMAN ...been running them problem free for well over a decade. Recently the owner contacted me and asked about laser engraving something different on his anodized pulleys.  He said “not sure what i want, just make something cool.”. I didn’t really want to make anything too tacky or over the top so i decided to bend the company logo around the radius and keep it simple yet clean.   A logo on front, and the model  number on the backside so the guys building them can categorize them at the shop easy(there are several sizes). If all go’s well, i will be doing a ton of these for them. I also will probably offer customized logo’s at some point.  If your system is hungry for juice, the stock alt just won’t do... Check out http://www.mechman.com or hit the company banner up top. i LOVE all of my Diamondboxx’s but the XL is my favorite. I have been running my original black on black for probably 3 or more years non stop at the shop.  One day i was thinking how cool it would be to have one with a clear acrylic see thru case. So i called my guy Tony and asked if i could buy just the face (and explained why). Long story short, i ended up getting the white “Panda” face i always wanted. I have actually had it for a while now. Due to the shop being so busy, my fun little projects are hard to find time for. I decided yesterday to finally get started.

 

I used 1/2” clear acrylic and pretty much just took measurements of the old box. I did it “tab” style although the regular old way would have been faster and easier. Everything was cut on my laser.
