  1. do not forget all the IRISH that have helped you out during that time as well!
  2. yep you can, I had the same problem but no light, my lamda sensor (10 year old by the way) was reading 1.27 @ 2450 rpm, and should have been between 0.97 to 1.03. I found a hole in mine and fixed it myself. you can check it yourself by jacking up the car, sticking it on axle stands, get under it while it is running and feel around it for leaks, it will be like a fan blowing air. this means you save yourself a few quid.
  3. I bet you have a hole some where along the exhaust and I bet its right where the hing is. so turn the car on and feel around it on top as you can see the rest. also you light does not have to come on for it to be having a problem. get an emmision test done on it and see what it says
  4. fast typing LOL sorry about that LOL but once again thanks, oh if I come across an other one I will let ya know.
  5. no book at all, just work sheets. ah now I see it, I got the hole thing wrong. thanks for the help ray ya legend!
  6. I will type it out for ya. A coil consists of a resistance of 100 ohms and an inductance of 200 mH. if an alternating voltage v, given by v= 200sin500t volts is applied across the coil, calculate (a) the circuit impedance (d ) the current flowing (c ) the potential difference across the resistor and inductor (d) the phase angle between the voltage and the current thanks for the help, sorry if I come across rude, I am not.
  7. for the impedance I did this: Z=Sqrt.*(R^2+(Xl-Xc)^2) Z=Sqrt.*(100^2 + 628^2) Z=636 ohms current flow I did this: R=V/I R=200/2 R=100 ohms Potential difference across the resistor and inductor: ????????????????? The phase angle between the voltage and current: Vin^2=Vr^2 + Vl^2 where Vl = I * Xl and Vr = I * R I think that is the right formula
  8. show me, as it is the only question, I do not get!
  9. sorry ray, it is not, I have to find the circuit impedance, current flowing, potential difference across the resistor and inductor, and the phase angle between the voltage and current.
  10. ah right, now I get it, when I was reading the question, I had no idea about the question until you just explained it. just an other question, when I am getting Xl, I got 628 ohms. and for current flow I got 100 ohms. does these sound right to you.
  11. hi. I am doing Mechanical Engineering and I need to a way to find the frequency of a circuit. below is all I have of the circuit. coil consists of resistance of 100 ohms and inductance of 200 mH ac voltage is v=200sin500t applied across the coil the rest of the question is fine, just can not calculate it due to the fact I do not know what frequency it is working at. thanks in advance for the help.
  12. no problem, it was easier to post a link then try and explain it lol
