  1. Steps system is pretty loud. Im the guy in the green hood. We've been to a few of the same shows. it awesome the amount od air moving.
  2. We have 2 15's BL in a 18cbft wall (that's 18 internal that 9 for each one) and we have 2000watts going to each coil and rarely ever get smelly. Our burp Hz is 38. And they pick up extreme lows and that big box.
  3. Hell Yeah Guys Keep the shit coming. When this things getting some pictures coming I'll then post some pictures of my new built wall. Details or hint would be only 2 Fi BL's 15's with only 4000watts. Test ran it 2 days ago pulled a 148.3 @ 38 Hz Still have another 4000D to be installed to pull a 150 out of a daily driven SUV.
  4. This is BIG-SEXY AUDIO Im wanting see anyone who has a wall to post yours pictures here.
  5. Whats up guys, Its Houston Thompson owner of BIG SEXY AUDIO I'm the guy in the third video doing my little hair trick. Neils a friend of mine, both doing alot of work in Thomasville. Neil done a 158 and some change. He Bassraced in Gainsville @ 157db. Blazers pretty bad ass man. But come check out our myspace @ www.myspace.com/bsaproductions. And check out our pictures Ethan's 3rd project it won us 1st place in Super Street 1-2 doing a 147.8 @ 38Hz.
  6. So why the change from 24 to 20, that's a loss of 60 inches in surface area? Just thought I should ask!
  7. What's up buddy, I help out Neil Barber of Team Maxxsonics, the Hifonic amp are just alittl overrated as ratio as 2000watts RMS rated ( is to ) about 1800watt RMS tested! That's at 14volts though The Hifonic amp can also stay stable at 0.5 all day long, with mini. problems! They solid amps, you'd be happy with them Alittle 411 - The Brutus have alot better sound at 1ohm than the XX series!
  8. Mine Broke, some I've had to take real pictures here lately, I didn't take to many besides Neil Barber's Blazer with 24 L7 10", 156.8 dB baby!
  9. That's pretty much the same setup me and Neil Barber were talking about doing in my Yukon, Whenever it happens that is!!!! But his got 10 HiFonics BXI2006, I get to have eight of them, so at 0.5 ohm per coil I'll see a good 2200RMS out of each amp! You do a good 152-153 with that setup!
  10. Aight Boss, I's just got to get them developed, cause I got pently
  11. That was he's BassRace score, which he didn't burp it or anything, just played music for the crowd, they all went crazy, I still do everytime I hear that thing, he's a pretty kool cat, he left me in charge while he went to the ball game for a while! That thing moves some crazy air, but like I said I'll post some pictures soon
  12. Me and Neil Barber were the audio judges at the show today, we had a pretty good turn out! Alot of people hit 132.7-142.3 on the Term Lab that's peak hold score! Then Neil got up there and put them all to shame hitting and staying at 156.4 dB! That is the loudest yet cleanest audio system I've ever heard! I'll post the pictures up soon. I just done alot of talking to the people answering audio question after question! We all had a blast!
  13. Aight well this topic is dead, at least dead to the orginial topic, so if you want the new updates on the Yukon, it's topic is in SPL under The Yukon's Pure SPL Setup. So come check it out.
  14. And to clear things up for James! In 2004 I hit a 152.3dB on the AC And then in 2005 on the older TL was the 148. Like I also said my amp was mod'ed by a good eletronics buddy of mine. All copper connections, bigger faster fan, bigger caps. I just better clear inputs so he hand build mine, copper also! There wasn't like a major difference but the RMS @ 14.4 jumped to near 2k. I was very happy with the bigger fan. That baby stayed room temp all day long.
  15. It's my enclosures, the internal designs. I try to add the port at the highest point of pressure in the box, which duh creates more compression, which in return give the high "Wind Speed" or air movement. It's not hard to find. All the audio cookbooks there you how to add the variables together and where the best place for port placement. The Shop that has my project pictures and drawn designs like I said tell me they lost it. So I was screwed with about two months for work. And/Or had nothing to show for it. But like I said on some of the other topics I have two of my buddies who are wanting to compete with the pro's. So there builds will be pretty damn time con'sooming. For will denfinally be the best of both worlds. Style and SPL.
  16. The old setup did that on the AC. That's my goal for this year is to have a setup hit somewhat near the on the TL. I'd like to have a 148 - 149 steady for bassrace.
  17. I don't have a store yet, I have my shop much like a garage, it's enough room for me. I've done like a said before over 40 installs, near 40 enclosures, I have business call nearly everyday. Most things are simple, I've been competeing for about two years now, I own a 148.7 on the TL meter with two L7 15's powered by a mod'ed KX1200.1 in a 12cbft enclosure tuned @ 28Hz. I've been building smaller SPL system these past few months. Mostly just single subs systems, I now they I can top many many people in that class. The reason the Ford Place called me was because of two reasons. The local audio shop has my pictures(which they told me they lost, bitches are stealing my enclsoure designs) and I have two new friends who I heard a few of the systems I've build, and that's where I was called in. It's not some big big deal, I just thought it was kool they susposely "HIRED" me. But I was first choice to the plans of install Audio/Video systems in the cars.
  18. The guy was being a pain, they wanted mostly just video systems, and a little audio(I mean a little audio). But who knows if they want to use me and I really need the money then we'll talk on my terms. Just Respect man, he give me no details, no pay tell, didn't give me a time or day to come back. Just long for him to get my cell number and tell me "Your Hired". And just walks off. So whatever!
  19. Aigt heres your update, I went and talked to the guy just long enough for him to tell me I had the job, then he just walked off, no details, so I stand there for what feels like an hour, he just keeps walking past me, to what seemed like he was doing something. So I just fuck it when he calls me I'll just tell him to go somewhere else for business, moneys one thing, but please respect me by given me the time of day.
  20. I wouldn't go over 1500w RMS, if you could tune everything completely clear you could put more, but it's gonna bring everything out of safe mode.
  21. He's T-ville, I'm over in the neighboring town Cairo, I do most of my work in T-ville, plus LOWE's (where I really work) is in T-ville. Yeah Neills pretty kool, it was his show that I won the other day. His just an average guy, he's gonna help promote some more shows for my to promote BIG-SEXY AUDIO. He's just got like 20 L7's just sitting in his floor at the shop, waiting to go into the Blazer. He was telling me he just order 54 mids and highs to go into the Blazer, equal what like 2 miles of wire. Neill knows what he's doing though. You probably see him bumping my shit at the shows.
  22. If you're talking to me, the answer is no, there's only about 4 people in this area that can hit over a 145dB. My buddy who has his own shop (Audio Extremes-Neill) has an S-10 Blazer with 16-12's (161.something). He changed everything up this year and went Kicker. But like a said Ford's not gonna want me to to in shit that's gonna flex everything. More like SQ setup than anything. It was raining to damn hard today, so I went to work and straight home, I'd like to get all dressed up, clean up the Yukon, and then ride over there, look like a true pro.
  23. That's what most people would say about 32hz My L7s were tunned to 35hz and I couldn't play some Lil Jon songs good...So I would say 36hz isn't a perfect tunning. For people who are wanting to hit good numbers, while playing some good lows notes, 36 is perfect. 32Hz is great for something daily. 28Hz for if you want to hit every low in each song. But I higher tuned enclosure is what gets your number. It's all in how you want to plan your system. You could do something like what Meade has, and have a changable port, just for high tuning, to pick up 1-2dB's.
