  1. Well. I was planning on just picking up that one I linked to... I figured it's easiest. I will wait like another hour or so...and if I dont get any responses I will probably go with that. I dont see anything negative about it.. I dont really wanna go with a double din thing.. Just cuz its more hassel..
  2. I am about 40 minutes from Orlando & disney and all the major attractions. But I wouldn't say my system is too great. It's loud for me I suppose. Check out my build log & if you wanna meet up I am sure I could find time! Maybe you could give me a few pointers too!
  3. you found a good radio in there....for 360€...ill buy it myself....but it costs over 600€ or like 700$ in EU What do you mean? It is 425$ american do you think it's worth it?
  4. I looked around for a console that would fit in the stock location and would hold a double din. But I couldn't find anything. Do you happen to have a link?
  5. Possibly? http://www.audiosavings.com/products/In-Dash-Car-Monitor/PIONEER-AVH-P5200DVD-IN-DASH-7-CAR-MONITOR-DVD-PLAYER/AVHP5200DVD+RB.aspx That looks decent to me....Might be able to drum the 425 for it. If I could sell a few of my things on here D; Anybody need 3.5mm audio cables? 50 for $50 shipped! Find my for sale thread. But what about that head unit? I need to basically purchase one tonight.
  6. Yeahhh, price is a problem there. D; Maybe I can throw it up to about 400?
  7. SQ > Looks but that doesn't mean I want it to be ugly just doesn't need to have fancy lights all over it...
  8. I am looking on audiosavings. Would you guys mind throwing me ome links.
  9. I will check em out, thanks. Is kenwood decent brand? Havn't tried alpine. But yes Id REALLY like a flip out. Haha. I CAN NOT fit a double din head unit in my 1995 Civic EX... the only head unit type I can fit is single din flip outs. My original post must not be too specific..
  10. Ah, so the Boss headunit in my signature finally quit on me. The left output speaker and rear speakers completely stopped working today on my way home. Get what you pay for, $210. It lasted a good eh 8 months? But I am in the market for something new. I called up SonicElectronix and the guy there was great, he said rma it and we will give you a brand new one. Well, I will ship it out to them in the morning, but when waiting for the new one to come in the mail. I don't want to go back to that crappy boss head unit. Major things I didn't like about it... Flimsy, no iPod 30 pin support ( wouldn't even charge my iPhone, more less read music ), not a good touch screen sensitivity. List goes on. OH and forget the remote control, you have about a ft and a half of range on it. So anyways, I assume I will have that new boss in about a week and I will throw it on craigslist and try to get a bit for it... Since it's brand new. But, now im in the market for a new one. I would REALLY like to keep it under 300$ It MUST be flip out, I cant fit a double din in my car without huge mods, id prefer it to have 30pin ipod cable support that'd be nifty for my iPhone 4. Id like it to have 4v preouts so my amp wont have to work so hard ( oh yeah another dis on the boss, its preouts stated 2v, id be lucky if i got .7 out of them before the head unit clipped. Of course, with the head unit at 40/40 it would be 4v preouts. But head unit clips around 30. It also MUST have a 3.5mm aux input in the front. Uhm, there might be a few features im missing, but thats really all I can think of that i NEED off the top of my head, i am not too worried about Navi because I eventually will sell the car, bluetooth might be nice, but really not necessary. Since it'll have the 30pin connector for my iPhone and 3.5mm for other devices. Usb isn't really needed I dont do that. What could you guys throw me for between 200-300? Am I being too cheap? I hope I can get something soon. Thanks for any replies.
  11. Just heard that, hahaha. I would say that is probably 50's though. So im glad the guy wasnt like "yeah man high 160"s or some shit haha. Irrelevant. But funny.
  12. It is just some dubstep...Good luck with that one.
  13. Would you mind posting a few more pics of the 400-4 for me. Might be interested in using it for my 6.5"s
  14. Maybe its late and I am getting senile..... But I did in fact post this thread in the want to buy section Not sure where you think I posted this thread....... And I was unaware of the crazy discount, thanks for the tip! Maybe I am the senile one. Hehe, I stand corrected, I hope I didn't offend you. its about 3:30am and I am going on eh 4 hours of sleep. My bad. But your welcome for the discount info. I just figured I would run it buy you, because with the 40% discount you can probably get a brand new banner for about the price of a used one. But like I said I think it only lasts a day or two longer. Once again, I apologize for the comment about the wrong section, not sure what I was thinking, guess I just read a bit too fast and jumped the gun.
  15. Well first, there is a Want To Buy section for this type of thing.. .Second, you can get them from here http://www.techforcepcservices.com/ But I assume you already knew that since you have it in your signature. I would take advantage of it like ASAP. I know they're having some crazy discount going on right now, but IIRC it ends in like 2 days.
  16. Hey i got an idea. 40 people get to guess. a number between 110-150. winner gets 40$ from You! I feel sorry for the poor guys that get left with the numbers 140+ ! Hehe, jus kiddin, but no way to "guess" without a meter. To many factors involved. Your box could be the difference in like +- 10 db Just check out a local shop, usually it's like 20$ or if you get to know them they might do it for free. But probably not the first time you walk in the shop.
  17. I might understand it wrong, but are you basically looking for something that will take for example your 2v preouts from your headunit, then have a set of 4v preouts, similar to a mosfet type idea that would produce current depending how much current is applied to it? If you are trying to say, find something inline that will take your 1v preouts and turn them to 4v i think that it induces a lot of clipping. But I am not 100% sure. I use the PAC-LC1 and it is great for me, just tune your amps with the knob all the way turned up, then when you see a cop twist that knob down. Hehe. It is basically just a potentiometer with RCA input/output. You can find it on SonixElectronics or amazon or maybe even ebay.
  18. Like i said earlier bro, i think your 1/0 cutters would do the job cleanly. If you have some. But i would think anything cheap would work. Besides well scissors. hell , handheld garden sheers MIGHT do it. Depending on how thick of a screw you used.
  19. A hack saw around the cone of your sub. This guy is BRILLIANT. You could try drilling it..but even that is still kinda iffy. If anything id use a dremal with a round diamond blade to cleanly slice it off. You wanna use as small as you can though...I wouldn't trust myself doing it...but this seems tough D: What I used were my 1/0 cutters and it just cut the #10 screw like it was a piece of 4ga. But i cant imagine it was good for my cutters.
