  1. Great buyer, He bought some 3.5mm cables from me. We quickly came to an agreement on price that was fair for both ends, and he paid immediately afterwards. I shipped the item out within a few hours. Overall a great buyer. So I feel compelled to leave some good feedback for this guy if he plans to buy in the future, you know you can trust him to pay ya! Good communication as well.
  2. Id like to restate that I am not 100% sure what type of terminals these are, The holes match up so I kind of believe they are either both positive or both negative and I can not be 100% sure if they fit. But I PMED you...
  3. Actually this can be achieved without a "3.5mm cable" You just set your recording device to the stereo playback and hit record in your favorite audio recording program. I'm on a Mac, my apologies I think it's a tad diff for me. but your way sounds logical as well.
  4. My uncle is a DJ so he gave me a hard drive full of like 35,000 songs. But what I like to do, is take a 3.5mm stereo audio cable, and plug one side into the microphone port of my Macbook and the other side into the headphone port. So basically it is putting out sound directly from the headphone outport to the microphone input. It works like a charm. need a 3.5mm cable? I got a few hundred of them for sale! Check out my for sale thread.
  5. Hey guys, I have quite a few things left over from my install, and just been sitting around. Don't have a use for it! So I figured I would try to help some of my fellow SMD members out by providing a few cheap items. To be 100% honest I don't know much about ANY of this stuff. So lets start w/ what I am selling. First picture is just an overview. Second picture shows the Soundstream bass knob. To be perfectly honest, I bought it for like $20 from a guy on Craigslist. I hooked it up to my amp and it didn't turn on, so I looked up the compatibility of it, I had at the time a Soundstream EGA1700D and it wasn't compatible, I think it is geared towards the newer Soundstream amps, but I am not sure, ( and to be more honest, I am not sure if it even works since I don't have an amp to test it, its just been sitting in a box for a few months ) So I was going to ask $5 for it plus like 2-3 for shipping. I don't want to upset anybody if it doesn't work. but the guy I bought it from swore it worked. But I don't want to mess up my good feedback, so I am kinda weary about selling it. It operates off a 4 pin phone line type cable, its not exactly phone line since its a narrower 4 pin. But same concept. Fourth pic shows the battery terminals. The top TWO are made by SQ I am not sure who that is, might be SoundQuest, the bottom two dont have a name on them they're just gold. Don't know much about these either, don't know if they're half pos and half neg or all pos or all neg. The part that goes on the battery looks kinda small. But I don't have a battery with top posts to check D; I was able to easily fit some 1/0 welding cable into the biggest hole, the second largest hole looks to be about 4ga ( i dont have any to test ) and the two smaller holes look to be about 10ga There is also a different type of terminal in there - it will accept a ring terminal and what looks to be 2 10ga outputs. Once again please don't hold me to it as it being 2 10ga, they might be 12...but I think 10 is pretty standard. I figured I would ask eh 2$ for ea terminal since I don't know anything about them. But they do weigh more than you would think.. they're pretty heavy for a terminal. I'd like to sell these all to one person for 8$ plus shipping and I will throw in the other ring terminal type one for free. I just want to minimize trips to the post office. Fifth pic is just a 150amp fuse. It is used. But as you can see it's not blown. I got a bigger amp so no longer need this fuse. I figured id sell it for like $2 plus shipping since they go for 4$ plus shipping on parts express... Sixth pic is a view of the outputs of the terminals, something I just noticed is that the terminal in the back has a 1/0 to I would guestimate 1/0 - 4ga converter in there. I didn't know it! But that'll be included as well. Disclaimer: I REALLY DONT WANT TO UPSET ANYBODY BY SELLING THESE, I JUST WANTED TO HELP FELLOW MEMBERS OUT BY POSSIBLY SUPPLYING A FEW CHEAP PARTS. I DONT WANT TO RUIN MY FEEDBACK OR ANYTHING, SO IF YOU ARENT 100% SURE PLEASE DONT PM ME ABOUT THEM. I JUST WANT TO HELP OUT, BUT I DONT KNOW MUCH ABOUT THESE.. I AM TRYING TO SELL THEM CHEAP SO I CAN MAKE A BUCK OR TWO AFTER SHIPPING. I DON'T WANT TO RIP ANYBODY OFF OR ANYTHING. If somebody wants to purchase everything from me. Id sell it all for like 15$ plus shipping ( which would only be like 5 ) I think thats fair. Id rather not make 10 trips to the post office since there would go my money in gas. But I am a fair guy and would be more than willing to work out a deal. I won't be too upset if these don't sell because I understand. But just wanted to help some fellas out! Anyways, here goes nothin! PM Me!
  6. Where can you get 10 250amp fuses for 10$ shipped? 250amp fuses are usually ATLEAST 3$ ea. Hook me up man. Ill buy 200 of them and sell them.
  7. im with n8....its kinda creepy. if that thing has say even 60,000 miles. most likely it was strictly used by a funeral home from the funeral home to the place of burial... thats a LOT of people in the back of it D: eek. i dont think i could do it. LOL but you can find them on craigslist.
  8. x2 great guy to deal with. Sent PayPal shortly after we agreed on a price. Great communication as well. As I say on eBay - 5 star buyer!
  9. http://radartest.com/Shopping/VP-ASP7.0/shopexd.asp?id=31 That's what I am looking at.... looks like it is pretty good. IMO. For 500$ if it saves me at-least 5 tickets it did its job. Damn.
  10. I'm fully aware.. I often tell people this same statement. But to be honest with you, I wasn't even aware I was going so quick. Had my windows rolled up. Clenching my hand just trying to get home. Never been in so much pain in my life... Might sound silly, but I have been busted up a few times... But a cut to the bone from the top knuckle all the way to my nail hurt pretty bad. Just tried to get home. In the end. I ended up losing another 20 minutes with the cop. So I know it wasn't worth it. I just was looking into them..
  11. Holy SHIT! My wallet isn't that fat ! I was thinking around 6-700$... not $1700. LOL. Question: Did you type in google "Most expensive radar detector" LOL
  12. Cool! Got caught doing 80 in a 45. Ok not 80...more like 78. SOB! Completely my fault though so i aint gonna throw a pity party. Foolish mistake. I had cut my finger clean open to the bone with a knife and was trying to get home before i blacked out from blood loss. I wrapped a napkin around it TIGHT but it wasn't working, ended up having to get stitches. Anyways, headed home, got pulled luckily he only wrote me for 9mph over instead of 33 over. Jesus I was foolish...But in my defense I was in lot of pain. But not 131$ worth of pain ( oh plus doctors fees ) Anyways 3 points later I managed to get home and to a doctor and get sewn up. only 7 stitches all the way down my finger. Should leave a nice scar. Well, I started looking into police scanners... Never owned one before. But wanted to try them out. Now I figured with these things...your still at risk. So why cheap out? I am looking for some good ones, and some reviews say Cobra makes really good ones. Whilst reading I came across a thing called Laser Jammers which send out a signal that blocks all use of lasers. Oh yeah, and they're legal in Florida! Score. But they come with a price.... I was really thinking about picking this one up called the Blinder M47 it is supposedly the best of the best....received a few awards and such... $619.00 not too bad. BUT ITS ONLY FOR LASERS. Which are used a LOT where I live... But along with that, I wanted to check into a Radar scanner. SO I want to hear you guys opinions on them, how well they work, and if you recommend any products. I asked a few friends and they all said Cobra...My friend who actually owned one said he almost never gets false alerts and even if he is going over a hill or something it will still alert him. He says its accurate 99.9% of the time and has only had his NOT go off a few times when he was doing the speed limit so he was fine. What do you guys think? **Oh yeah, not sure where I was going to post this, so if a mod sees it and you think you know a better section feel free to relocate it!
  13. You want input, on what YOU would feel confident selling it for? Isn't that up to you? I agree with fyerbyrd22 your gonna get about 200 for the aq1200 maybe 250..if you get lucky on craigslist. 20 per port. and I would say about 125-140 per sub. the rest I dont know as for wiring and such what all you have.. But 750..good luck bro. That box is BIG AS F*$^ ! your best bet, would be to cut it up, and keep the wood, and use it for either another small box, or maybe speaker rings, or whatever. Good luck. But I am only thinking 500 locally... if your lucky maybe 600. But to ship that, good god it would cost you at-least 150 to ship it. But i think it would be more than that depending what service you use.
  14. uhhhh. 150posts? wrong section, not enough posts. come on broo.
  15. To be honest, I have never ran those "Vmax" batteries that you speak of. I dont even know who makes them. I would assume VMAX lol. BUT I have ran Kinetik and XS and XS blows them out of the water miserably. You could always experiment. But I can tell you right now you MUST do the big 3. no 2 ways about it. Heres what I would do. BIG 3, then run alternator with 1/0 to Kinetik in the back. Run kinetik and your stock battery on the system, and DONT push it to your limits, run it for maybe 15-30 minutes and monitor how the voltage is. If you see the voltage getting in the low 12s ( which I am pretty sure you will ) I wouldn't let it go below 12.5 especially if you can see it declining. I dont think what you have right now with what i listed above is gonna cut it, but I would still test it because I am cheap, but dont let it hurt your equiptment by running too low of voltage. If that doesnt solve it. Id go for a battery. Which you buy is your choice. But if you can afford XS id go with them. After using Kinetik then switching to XS i say XS is worth the extra penny, ( keep in mind I said I have never ran that vmax ) so I am not sure how they stack up in price or performance ) But I would test it with the above items, and then let us know when you do the BIG 3 and the alternator thing, then get back to us and let us know how it performs. And we could better advice you from there. Not knowing how it performs with the BIG 3 and the alternator ran to the batt , giving you any info after that info ( for me atleast ) would just be guessing. But like I said, come back after you do the big 3 and I can help you more, or im sure some other people on the forum know more than I do about the VMAX and could recommend. Big 3 you will notice a WORLD of difference though.
  16. I think youd be fine with just another battery to be honest. Do what 6berry said, a direct 1/0 from alternator to the AGM battery in the back. BIG 3 of course if you haven't dont it yet. Then I would look into a decent size XS power battery and I think youll be fine. Since you said you wanna add a battery and call it a day. I would try to grab a pretty big XS battery, and then keep the KHC1800 that you got and monitor it without the lead acid battery...but if you HAVE to match the kinetik batteries, id go with the biggest Kinetik battery you can find. I think its like the KHC3800 or something... and monitor that. Or you could sell the KHC1800 on craigslist, get rid of the stock battery and pick up 2 XS AGM batts. If you wanna go with kinetik you could get 2 of the biggest you can afford. Two 3800 preferably, or you could probably get away with two KHC2400s but definitly the 3800 if your budget allows. BUT if it was me, I would grab atleast ONE big XS battery and wire it with the khc1800. monitor that, if your getting too much voltage drop, id drop the kinetik and pick up another BIG xs battery.
  17. Fecupe did a test on this. It does give you like .3db but you dont wanna do it on a daily ride. Competitions only or your subs gonna overheat. Look up his thread. Dont have the link now, but its around here somewhere.
  18. a couple subs will take that power daily. Btl n2 Mayhem Dc lvl 5 & 6 DD 9500 Nightshade soundstream XXX and more. The 12"s? If he knows how... EDIT: the 12"s I named.
  19. good luck... i can't think of too many 12s that will handle 3.5kw daily... I know the AA Mayhem 12"s will do 2.5k... BTL N2 12s will do 2k. But 3.5k is pushing it..
  20. I joined and I dont even got a manual car. But I figure if its legit I will give it to a family member or something. We will see... 30k is a LOT of people. Especially to keep track of names, addresses, colors, etc... Im callin BS. but they might pull through. if so if not. well. that poor company is not gonna have many sales..
  21. Yeah.. Heres the link. http://ram-designs.com/quote.php
