  1. if u are refering to a blowthrough then that is self explanitory. Are they going to be in the cab (removing rear seats)?
  2. I just said fuck it and went ahead and bought 4 of the Mach5 woofers. Ive seen some good reviews on the performance of them and I was pretty much sold between that and the price. From what I hear they dont perform like a $36 midbass/midrange woofer.
  3. ok, now that I have the midrange and highs its time for my midbass. Narrowed it down to these two. Should I get 4 of these (2 glassed @ the bottom of each door) http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=8234 . Or 4 of these http://www.audiojunkies.com/product/844/ma...o-mli65-reviews
  4. try Master P- Gangstas Need Love Too....and Master P -Pass Me The Weed
  5. How good are the 6.5" Mach5 midbass woofers? They are about 35 bucks a piece...they are rated 100rms 4ohm
  6. ended up getting 2 pairs of these http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Ite...X1414&g=410 . Still going to get the audiocontrol DQXS. Put the tweet in its on pair of channels and the 4s in their own too off of a T4004. Then get a pair of dual 4ohm stage2 8z and a T3002.
  7. ok finally made up my mind. Tell me what u think.....cost effective and should sound pretty good. 2 pairs of each. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_2316_Visonik+VT1229.html http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=295-378 http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=290-307 a 4"with a tweet in the A-pillars, a 4" and tweet in the factory door openings at knee level, and 2-6.5" at the bottom of each door. Think that will keep up with my BTL 12s?
  8. what about these for midrange http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=295-358
  9. those mach 5's (6.5") look good. May be an option for midbass but the thread is about small midranges. I need some good 4" or 3.5" midranges which is why I was looking at coaxials. Anything like a 6.5" or 8", I would use strictly for a midbass 80Hz-300Hz.
  10. Im trying to piece together my own active 3way using a AudioControl DQXS electronic eq/processor (top of the line sh%t). It has outputs for Sub, Midbass, midrange/front lowpass, and front highpass. My question is are coaxial speakers ok to use as a midrange? the midrange area of a setup is were your vocals, some piano notes and snares come from. anywhere between 300Hz-2000Hz (maybe a lil higher in the frequency range).
  11. In a "active" 3way staging setup. Are coaxials ok to use as midrange/vocals?
  12. How does the mid range hold up and how much power do u think they could take on a 80Hz high pass?
  13. u are just figuring this out? Anybody that walks into a big time recording label's headquarters with 20+ million of your own money back in the 90s is a rich mootha fooka. Remind u this was back in the mid 90s. Jay-Z, Dame Dash and Biggs walked in Def Jam with a lil under a million but Baby and Slim had 20+ mill. That was when lil Wayne wasnt but 12. Those guys have been paid for yrs. Before Katrina Baby had a huge garage away from his house where he parked several and I do mean several vehicles at 1 time. He had so many cars that he had all of the keys in a big box and he would dig through the box with his eyes closed and pick a key chain out. Which ever car started once he hit the autotmatic starter....thats the car he drove that day. Now that aint money....thats moone'.
  14. I know US Merlin amps are underrated and CEA compliant but How good are Cadence zrs amps? I was quoted a pretty good price for some Merlins but I was quoted an even better price for the Cadence ZRS both from Authorized dealers. I use to see alot of Cadence users back in the day but not as many now. So any input on either amp would be very appreciated.
  15. Ive also heard this sub in Circuit City and let me honestly tell u. Ive heard 6.5" and 8" mids from CDT that sound just as louder and much cleaner than that thing. U say ur looking for something cheap then u've found it because thats all it is; cheap. Thats more of a chick's sub.
  16. true, oh so true. What up 727! I got a 97' T-Bird now....still working on my Cut but Im falling more and more in love with the bird everyday even though Im a GM man. Get at me kid
  17. When using more than one sub sharing 1 big enclosure (with no dividers) and 1 big port....how far apart do the subs have to be away from each other to keep them from cancelling out each other?
  18. Na Im not talking about the fuses between the trunk batteries and my amps. Im talking about the fuses in my run between the front battery and rear batteries. Basically what Im asking is do the fuses in my front to rear runs have to match the fuses between my batteries and amps? It would be 660 amps worth of fuses between my rear batteries and amps. 660 is a odd number to match when ur talking about front to rear runs. So could I get away with 2 runs of 0/2 awg and 2-300amp fuses...or 3-runs of 1/0 guage with 3-250amp fuses?.....these questions are for my run from the front battery to the trunk.
  19. You'll be looking at anywhere between $850-$950
  20. Yes both of u are right. Series each woofer and run 1 woofer in its own channel @2ohm. The T4k even though it is known as a mono amp, it can be played as a 2 channel amp as well. Like Steve did when he had dual 1 ohm woofers and blew his amps. When he was waiting for repairs on 2 of his amps he ran the 2 subs per amp with the other 2 amps. He series'd each woofer (dual 1ohm) making each sub 2ohm and ran 1 sub per channel. In his case since he has dual 2ohm he would have to go with the T2ks to get his full power.
