  2. yo, Im looking at getting some dampening material for my build. I live in new zealand. and couldnt find anyone who sells SS sound here. I found some Dynamat extreme, bulk pack for $315nzd. I would 100% prefer to run SS as ive heard amazing things about it. Do you have anyone that brings the stuff in down here that you know of? Or how much would shipping be? Im quite interested in the damp pro B stock. can some one PM regarding how I could get some down here? I have a paypal but im not sure what happens regarding the exchange ratio/shit. cheers
  3. Anybody down here in New Zealand with a DD1 that i could tune my system with? im in Auckland but heading to welly shortly so if your in the north island ill come and stop by. It would be much appreciated as I don't have anywhere near enough to get one shipped here for myself. Cheers
  4. sweet as. In the future i might look at getting a second one as the GTX 560 has two DVI outputs. well thats the plan money is the issue, now to find a solution *buys lotto ticket* thanks for the input
  5. Has any one used this screen before? http://www.lg.com/ie/it-products/monitors/LG-led-monitor-E2351VR.jsp Im looking at getting it for my new rig. Its on special atm so its cheaper then most other LEDs that are of a well known brand. Any input before I go buy it? It will be run through HDMI or DVI idk what one yet. maybe DVI as my TV has hdmi so i might use the hdmi from the graphics card to run that , then on of the DVI's to run the LG screen.
  6. I know your not up to this stage yet but this is a very helpful tool when you get to it. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/4319-sq-how-to-tune-your-system-a-must-read/
  7. I know you have a tad more money. but I have some audio technica ath-m50's and they are amazing. I use them for work (live sound tech) and they are loud and clear with really nice cancellation. I dont know what else is out there coz i havnt needed to look hah. but you shouldnt have troubles getting something impressive with that budget.
  8. I believe you make it smaller, but I imagine if you take too much airspace out it will change te sound a fair bit
  9. He is talking about buying a set of coaxils and dissconecting the tweeter from the mid (in terms of wires) and running the tweeters Off a seperate amp/channel
  10. Ive considered doing this but I don't know how well it would turn out. But I don't see any reason why it wouldn't tbh
  11. Serious question, do you have a mental handicap? come on fizzy why you always crap me over anything i say?? and yeah while i was 6 i was mentaly handipaced in a sense and i still am....i has epilepsy and it sucks...have to drink 2 medicine pills every night...it sucks to live this way.... and to the OP....it was a joke My bad man. 13. Me too man. I never thought someone's would help me out like this it's amazing
  14. Once again the SMD family has stepped up. If you have read my build log you will know my sub amp took a crap on me, after making a new box. well NZBASSHEAD, a member here on SMD lives at the other end of the country to me, yet he said he can help me out with a amp. I would of been sooo happy to get a used 200w amp but no, he went the extra fucking mile and BOUGHT me a brand spanking new amp, from a local shop to me so all i had to do was go and pick it up. I guess i created this to show how greatfull towards him for helping me out so so so much! ive had a shit time laitly, I got kicked out of home and lived in my car for 2 weeks, and my girl also left me when she found out I didnt have anywhere to live, shows how much she cared about me ae! anyway this kind kind man has 100% made me the happiest ive been in so long and for me, im a nobody yet he helped me with out thinking twice. Thanks sooo much to him. and props to steve for the family he has here, Im so glad im a part of it!!!! I litrally spend my paychecks buying food and data on my phone so i can get on here. Thanks everyone who is on this amazing site!! SMD FTW!!
  15. ive used the NTG2 i think it is, in a couple of concerts, they are amazing mics and their quality is amazing, if only i could more of them edit: http://www.rodemic.com/mics/ntg-2 thats what Ive used, i used it to pick up a choir of 65 people. i hung 2 of them 8m above the choir and could hear it as clean as day! soooo nice
  16. when I posted this he had only replied to the first question asked. which made me think that he was stating to change the built in fuses depending on what ohm im running at. If I realized he was talking about the inline fuse i wouldnt of put it up here/questioned it. Im glad you all had fun from this....
  17. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=453703577 Down the bottom of that auction I asked a question regarding inbuilt fuses and power wire size, take a look at the guys answer. It gave me a good laugh, I think I might go take a look at it and see what else he says about his products hahaha
  18. yes, the remote like was reading 11.8 (engine had been off for a few days) also the jumper was reading 12.6
  19. Im just about to head out for a few hours so ill take pics when I get back. so check back later. I hope it hasn't died. I just finished my new box and now wont be able to hear it
  20. I have two fuses on the 12v line, one by the battery and one by the amp. they are all fine. it isnt going into protect, it isnt doing anything. simply nothing haha, no power lights are coming on or anything.
  21. Yeah ive checked all the lines with my DMM and they are all fine. I also know they work fine because I have a volt meter that i put in with the amp inputs and it was reading 12.6v so I know the connections are fine. Ground is connected to the suspension bolt that comes up to the frame. it has been sanded down so its super shiny. Is there anything inside the amp that may of blown? Ive opened it up and cant see anything burnt or anything. If I cant get this amp working its going to be no car audio for me for a wile, I have no money to get a new amp/repair this one
