    a single 2 ohm sub bridged on a pair of channels from a 4 channel amp, each channel sees 1 ohm since when bridging the impedance is cut in half correct? Having an argument with my dad about how this works.

      Yes, which is probably not good for the amp. Most 4-channels only like 4-ohms bridged (or higher).
