  1. ive been buying on ebay since 2000 and ive only had 2 problems where people didnt ship and i got my money back from paypal on both cases... ebay is a great place and they do try to police the sellers to make sure we buy from honest people.... but then again they cant catch everything and if its too good to be true then well...it normally is...and also..i would never buy anything from anywhere with out detailed photos of the actual item
  2. If your going to have a 4x4 would you use it for that purpose? Is it easier to live your dream on putting in a v8 by just swapping engines or doing the body panels......either way do what you always wanted to....you will be much happier...i say flip the new truck and get some extra cash and go back to your original plan
  3. its loud...very loud.. i just want more speakers....im thinking maybe 5kwatts either 2 18's or maybe 4 15's if you want a blowthrough with 2 18s or 4 15's you will have to get very creative with how you build your box because your still limited with the height of the back wall of your bed i think i was pretty creative with the box i have now it about 3cubes sealed behind the seat...ive never heard of anyone fitting a kicker L7 15 in a single cab truck and still being able to use all the seats....im just skeptical about the sound ill get
  4. its loud...very loud.. i just want more speakers....im thinking maybe 5kwatts either 2 18's or maybe 4 15's
  5. So my single cab, single kicker L7 15" bangs really loud in my sealed box behind the passenger seat....i want MOARRRRR....so i was thinking of putting a box in my bed but i see people cut holes into the cab (why do they do that) and how would it sound if you didnt?
  6. the first time i tried it i got about 4 done with my vice then on the 5th my vice broke (was cheap) so to finish i used a hammer and about 2-3 good well aimed wacks did just fine... in the vid thats my new vice and that bad boy will never break...its over 80 yrs old.. and you probably can get better deals online for ring terminals but nothing is a better conductor than copper
  7. If you want to do it on the cheap go to your local napa auto parts store get some copper ring terminals for 1/0 (about 2 bucks each) and use a vice to smash it or use a hammer..watch the first 45 seconds or so of my video as i show you how its done...
  8. Ive been checking the MGM Grand out with the celebrity room that has a hot tub in it and their 1000ft lazy river pool...i think that is our first choice but im thinking of maybe staying at the green vally ranch too....cant ake up my mind... were trying to keep air and hotel under $1500 and stay 4 nights
  9. Planning a honeymoon in vegas coming this July...never been there....anyone have any insight on whats a good hotel to stay at... things that are a must see?.... any info would be great!!!
  10. yeah im going to wire them in parallel..not sure why i said in series....but money really isnt the problem and i dont want to buy a cheap amp..im looking for something that matches my sub...and no i wont get more subs or mono amps...this is going in my single cab truck and i can only fit 1 sub back there
  11. yeah but my sub is 1000watts rms and 2000max..that wouldnt work
  12. Ok guys i have a dilema...i have a kicker L7 15" 2ohms... plan on wiring the voice coils in series to get 1 ohm... but im stuck on what amp i should use to power it... i was looking at kickers 1k watt 1 ohm amps but i just cant decide...would that be a good choice? any reccomendations would be much appreciated!!
  13. thanks that was the first time i ever used vinyl..i still need to learn some tricks
  14. sweet build how does it sound? It actually bangs pretty good...i built the box to specs but i didnt think those tiny little 8's would hit that good
  15. x2 i edited my post to say that. when he said he had a 150 amp fuse i didn't know he meant the stock fuse, i thought he added a fuse block in that spot. then i realized he meant the factory fusing. So ya, i'd use ur own fuse block.. I will definatley up grade when i get that far along ..thanks for the info
  16. No no your fine with the fuse. Okkk I didn't know u had a fuse there. I couldn't see it in the pic. I thought u were going to the factory fuse box, like the stock location...and i was thinking the stock fuse/wiring would be much to small for a high current wire. but you've done it perfectly then. So did u decide which way to wire your battery? I read the faq's at kinetik site and they say to wire both + and - from the front batt to the rear batt terminals.... im guessing i can get away with just the + from the front batt to the rear...i dont like the idea of wiring straight from the alt to the rear... it will be 1/0 of course
  17. Yes i did ground the engine block to the frame...its on the other side of the engine bay, you just cant see it in the pic...and as for the alt wire going to the fuse box it has a 130a fuse there and ive seen people saying you should fuse it and since it was factory fused i just let it be....am wrong in doing that? i thought it would be smart to fuse that line to the alt... and of course i sanded down to bare metal on all connections
  18. How are you planning to wire it? You can do a run of 0 gauge wire from the + on the batt under the hood all the way back to the kinetic, and then ground the kinetic to the frame.. OR you can run a 0 gauge wire from your alternator to the kinetic in the trunk and ground it to the frame. Both ways will allow it to charge from the alt. Do u have the big 3 done though? yeah i just finished the big 3
  19. I plan on putting 2000 watts in my truck and using kinetics 2000watt batt...this battery will be hooked up in the rear and i will still have the other battery to run the truck...will this battery charge just like my stock battery? ive never run dual batterys before so im kinda clueless...thanks for any help
