  1. Nobody can recommend a decent 2 way crossover so i can run my mids and highs active? I was thinking the 3sixty but dont really have the money for it now so is there one that will be ok for less money?
  2. Its a david navone engineering 4 channel loc. It works pretty good, but i think i may have wired it wrong, what i did when i wired it is combined the front and rear left channels together and the front and rear right channels together, do you think that could cause the noise?
  3. Ok ill try that. And what happens if it goes away, whats that mean?
  4. Also when i dosconnect the rcas from the amp the buzzing goes away...do i need a ground loop isolater? How would i know if i need one or not? Ideas anybody
  5. How do i do that, my rcas go from my line out put converter, which is in the trunk 2 fert from my amp, straight to the amp, how would i ground them there? Also what did you cut the plug off and just ground the wire?
  6. I got my RF T1 series comps in and there Is a buzzing or humming noise that comes from the speakers when i plug the rca's into my 4 channel amp. I thought it may be the grounds from both amps grounded to the same battery ground so i moved the 4 channel ground to the chassis and it went down some but its still faintly there. I moved the rcas so they werent near power and still there. Any ideas guys? Im using a 4 channel LOC to go to both amps
  7. Yeah they are on thier seperate channels but i was asking what frequency the passive xovers used for the tweets normily but i read in the manual its 3khz. But im new to the whole compoment passive acfive shit and i was noticing i cant run the mids active either because the amp doesnt have a bandwidth adjustment right? If thats the case, do you guys recomend a decent 2 or 3 way crossover that i could use? I really want to run active
  8. How do i know where my tweeters crossover at?
  9. My fault, yeah it has both pots to adjust too, so thats what im going to do... What frequency do i use to tune the mids? Does anyone know?
  10. Ok then i would run them full, in the middle and use both lpf and hpf, i think thats how it works
  11. Ive installed my components, rockford fosgate t1652s, and i have the mids running active, where should i set the crossover switch on my amp? Its a 3 way switch the reads lpf on the left, full in the middle, and hpf on the right...need a little help with that... Also there is a little static or noise on the mids, i think because my rcas are near the 4 channel amp power, thats could he why right??? Its dark now but ill change it tomorrow, i realize it when i was running them Last but not least, i only have a DMM for tuning, what frequency do i use to tune my mids? 1khz?
  12. SorrrrEEEE buuudddyy. I saw the youtube vid not the thread.. Thanks for the excellent info
  13. So how much is this gonna be? Does anybody have any idea? Pm if need be
  14. so i have been working on my car for the last few days and posting videos on youtube instead of taking pics so ill post a few videos of my progress these first video is of the front speakers going in the doors this video is of the door panels back on this one is me replacing the 6x9s to put in the second set of 6 1/2s first day of amp rack second day of amp rack i still have alot of work to do but i have most stuff in place
  15. I can here the crackle or buzzing a little bit, unless its just the phone mic but that sucks your speakers are going already..are they running off the amp or the headunit? Oh and how come the wire comes from under the door though, looks kinda bootleg. Lol. Its all good though, still sounds pretty good
  16. I dont think your pics loaded. Unless its my iphone but i doubt it
  17. I call it fiya. I pronounce the silent ya...fi-ya.. Not fire, fiya!! Oh you didnt know?
  18. My batteries even brand new always sit around 12.8. Never 13 like they claim on the website.
  19. Yeah but have they been released yet?? They been on back order for months
  20. Yeah i was thinkin about that too...well the only way to get into my trunk is with a key because i diconnected egerything else so they wouldnt get to my subs. I actually went to home depot for shits and giggles and they have they screws that can go in but wont come out so i got some of those. Well if they have a drill they could get them off cuz you have to drill the head off. And i got some of the deck screws with the sqaure head just to mix it up. Thats what im going to do for now along with make it complicated to take the amp rack apart
  21. Thanls for the links, that helps alot because im definetly ordering some of those.
  22. I like that decal. Lol. Yeah it sucks because about 6 months ago Someone broke my girls car first and took her gps then into my car and snatched my cds and sunglasses and whatever they could in the 30 seconds or so my alarm was going off and bolted. She forgot to lock her car so they got that first then headed to mine. Also i asked my nieghbor and he didnt even know his cds were missing cuz he didnt lock his door i guess but we looked and his were gone too. So now im real trying to take measures to make it harder for them and give me time to get there before they can get it. Yeah your right it sucks we have to do this! But all great ideas man thanks
  23. x2^^ Get a nice 2 farad capacitor and hook it up to discharge throughout the body of the car when something touches it while the alarm is engaged. A nice 2 farads of capacitance or 2 coulombs of charge going through your body would sure stop somebody from stealing your system. On a serious note, uhm maybe use an odd headed bolt to secure the amps with so if they do break in they are not prepared with the right tool. You could also get like a blanket to cover them up with or something? Yeah thats a good idea, i just have to make it hard or a pain it the ass to get because if someone really wants them they will try. I have no room to put them in the trunk so they have to be out so ill try amd make a cover or some shit amd use a different headed screw. I just wanted to see what others may have done in the past, i know im not the only one who would worry thier shit would get lifted
  24. its also not peel and seal My point exactly. Lol. It looks like decent stuff at a decent price imo
