  1. how good are the audiopipes 3k amps?
  2. Any help would be great. I have a few options here 1. Stetsom 2k6d a lil more than Im wanting to spend 2. Audiopipe 3k 3. Hifonics colosis 3200d Stetsom seems to be a nice amp but just a lil more than Im looking to spend. So so far what you you guys think?
  3. What the price? Is it a t-series? Im not a huge fan of hifonics but whats the price tag on it? May still be interested in this, just looking to see what else come up first. Would be nice to have something not everyone else has.
  4. price on the ap3k, age and condition
  5. I will keep that in mind for sure. Do you have any pics of the amp? Im gonna be running it on a xl 15
  6. Im looking for a nice amp that will do 3kw at 2oh or at .5 ohm and I have 500.00 cash, thats for amp+shipping LMK what you have.
  7. Ok, good to know. I will just watch what I play and keep my gains down low for daily music.. I think rather than chance the life of my amp I will just buy the new amp I was looking at. This way I will have plenty of power for sub upgrades later on. Thanks for the help
  8. I will tune the amp so it doesnt clip and then leave it along and use my bass knob to turn the gain up and down from daily to comps. But when I scope the amp and tune to under clipping can it still clip with poor quality music?
  9. I bought a dc xl 15 d1 and want to put 3krms at 2 ohm on it for comps and then turn the gains down for daily play. Will this hurt the sub? It will be in a 3.8ft3 tuned to 33hrts with 53in2 of port I havent bought the amp yet. A guy told me that if I run the sub at .5ohm into one of my re xt4000d amp as the sub moves it will increase the ohm load to around 1.2ohm. Sounds sketchy to me so Im not sure that I really want to try this out.
  10. I was just wandering because I purchased a dc xl 15 d1 with an extra spider and on the power I am putting on it Im sure I will need a re-cone at the end of the summer. Wasnt sure how they work. If they can be beefed more than what the sub is already or not. Looks good tho, looks like you have done this a time or two lol
  11. What is the rms rating on something like this? Or should I say what kind of rms power will it take before exploding?
  12. I think I got it figured out this time. Lets see what happens
  13. By xxxtigxxx at 2011-04-05 Cant seem to get this thing to save big enough to read it.
  14. Thats what Im using and those are the specs its giving me
  15. Yeah. Still kinda sketchy on the calculators ability to create true numbers for tuning if the tuning numbers its telling me are off. I can build the box and I may be able to go a little bigger but then I may not be able to get it in my trunk lol.
  16. Not to much room. I got a lot of my infor from a box builder on caraudio.com He said thats around the size of his box and he is doing 143 on music. Is it me or is the calculator not accurate on hertz?
  17. I am going to be putting this in the trunk of my 2004 grand prix. I am going to have the sub and port firing into the cabin with the back seats down. I talked to a guy that owns the same car as me and has a single 15 setup which is what Im looking for. So from talking to him this is the design I came up with. Box H-16" W-36" D-16" Port H-14.5" W-2" L-18" According to the calculator this will give 3.25ft3 after all displacement and tuned to 33hrtz. The only thing Im wandering is some say I need around 50" of port, this only gives me 31" of port. Seems like a small port but the calculator is saying this will give me 33hrts and I was told that size box will get me the best results in the type of car I am putting it in. Does this sound correct?
  18. Good deal, I dont have experience with the port that way but i hope it works, you will have to let us know
  19. CONGRATULATIONS....Programs not so junk when you learn how to use it haha
  20. Looks like all the measurements are all in the right place but I would add a little to the height
  21. So what brand of subs are these?
  22. haha maybe I am wrong but I could have swore he said he was using 12's. so yeah .2-.22 sounds good for 2 10's
