  1. long as you don't change the inner dimensions, it should work grrrreat for you
  2. well if you look at the spec results for the first one i essentially added the lengths of the tubes together not realizing they pretty much act as a single tube. now had each one of those ports been 28.5" long, the tuning would be correct. but thanks for the feedback! this has been one of my first attempts at box designing so it's good to know i'm doing it right... supposedly anyways hahah good luck with the build One Luv, lemme know when you get that build log started, i'd love to follow it!
  3. ok here is the revised box tuned around 35hz. just make sure you cover the top of the port with a piece of 3/4" mdf (like it's the ceiling of the port) edit: this is what the port should look like from the side when it's finished and the angle at the top front of the box is 79.1 degrees, top back is 100.9 degrees
  4. the subwoofer needs some air space to resonate. the enclosure takes care of the rear portion of the wave, and the cabin of the truck should take care of the front. in your situation woofers should either face up or toward you. i'm assuming my original design had the subs facing you? as long as i interpreted your dimensions right and the subs would actually face you, then i'd stick with that layout.
  5. oh, and round ports or slot ports?
  6. sorry i didn't get back to you earlier. i've been hella busy lately but hopefully i can make you a design by Tuesday. maybe i'll have some time tomorrow, but tuesday or wed for sure actually, i could pry play around with torres and get you some specs pretty quick, if you want me to sketch it for you, that's gonna take a while.
  7. hold up... did the ports wrong.
  8. maybe something's loose in the box or woofer, or maybe you could try some polyfill.... idk other than that. you've got me stumped
  9. your drawing isn't all too detailed, but based on what the calculator is saying it looks fine. not sure what AQ recommends as far as the box size goes though. essentially if you haven't lied to the calculator, the calculator won't lie to you
  10. as long as you added the displacement of the 45's right then it should work just fine.... try using google sketchup to help get a cutlist, it's free and easy (that's what she said ) and it works for me edit: are you doing the resin 45's in every single corner of the box? 1/4 of a cubic foot seems a bit much for bracing, unless there's some other bracing you haven't mentioned?
  11. if the place i put the ports and subs is actually the bottom of your box, then you can just move the subs to the proper place and move the ports to the top of the box. hope that helped
  12. ports are 9 1/2" long and 4" in diameter the 1" dowels for bracing are 12 3/4" long the box is 2.95 ft^3 after displacement tuned to ~34hz if you've got the room, add a second baffle in the front. those SA's are beasts and need some serious support
  13. okay, here's my best attempt. essentially i just took your max dimensions and added 3 4" sonotube ports in the middle. here's the pics
  14. i'm kind of a lazy reader , but i'd love to help here. make a list answering the following: how much power are you giving them? what do you want the box tuned to? exact(measured)maximum dimensions LxWxH: what kind of car do you have? which way are the subs going face (up, toward you or away from you? any preferences on where the port is located
  15. i've got most of your box done, what is the tuning freq you want?
  16. i'll look into that. what kind of tuning are you looking for?
  17. go for the audioque's mentioned above those things are straight spl i hear. although, you should probably save up more and do it right the first time. you will be much happier.
  18. although your 5 channel receiver should be able to switch between stereo mode and digital 5.1 you can also attach your computer speakers to the 5.1 receiver with something like this
  19. i think it will handle the 1200 d no problemo, as long as you're not clipping. as far as the options go, This should help you out quite a bit.
  20. If i wanted new that's were i would go. i'm aware. i just enjoy being a smartass
