  1. Eh, it probably is too high, but the only dealer around had a demo truck with 4 DD3515s and when he played it, I was awed. I had never heard something so loud before. So I thought I had to have these subs lol! I may have been able to get something better, but I know I will still be happy with my 2 DD3515s, especially upgrading from a crappy Kicker CVR12 on 289w lol!
  2. $560 each, with the Supercharged upgrade. Around $500 each for normal DD3515. What do they normally run for?
  3. My first system ran me $400 and consisted of a Cerwin Vega Stroker 122 and a Kicker Zx1200.1 amplifier, with wiring kit and custom box/install. It was a hell of a deal my uncle gave me He got the whole setup for $100, sold it to me for $300 profit. After I had it for a while, I sold it to my cousin for $100 profit, and then he proceeded to blowing the subwoofer up. I don't know how he managed that, it ran fine for me for 7months or so, and fine for my uncle for a good while...
  4. Really? I thought it was a good deal Kidwell, I will definitely look into both the M3A and the DC 3.5k. My electrical system isn't going to be too beefy when I first install, stock alt and battery with a XS D3100 in the back... Plan to upgrade to HO alt and better battery for under the hood later on.
  5. Is that amp .5ohm stable? I plan on running two 2ohm subs, it's not possible to run them both off an amp at 1ohm, right? I'm new to this... So wouldn't I need to run them at .5ohm? That's why the Colossus seems so perfect. It puts out the power I'm looking for at 1ohm to both my subs, as it's a dual channel. The price is great, the power is great, but I'm not sure on the quality... That's why I'm asking all these questions
  6. I plan to get a good DD amplifier eventually, but I would like to get the system done ASAP, so every dollar saved helps, as I'm working part time on minimum wage. And the Supercharged option for my DD3515s cost about $560, with the unupgraded 3515s running at $507. So basically $53 for the upgrade, dealer didn't charge tax though.
  7. Hey mates, was wondering if anyone would have a suggestion as to what amp to run two Dual 2 SC DD3515fs. I'm planning on running them on a Hifonics Colossus, which puts put 1600Wx2channels at 1ohm. Would this amp work (as in would I be able to wire them up right with this amp?) I don't know much about anything... But is there any other amp people would recommend? I'm looking to spend about $550-$600 on the amp/s. I've heard good things about the Colossus, and many people say it's underrated, so the price and power seems perfect for me... But if there's something better I would love to know
  8. Didn't you ask about this already, but wanted under $500? What happened to that $100 in your budget? For under $400, I cannot think of a single, good quality amp that will put out that much power at 2ohms... Maybe someone else can, but you've gotten great suggestions in your other thread. My opinion is that you should save around $500 for one, then we can point you in the right direction...
  9. For $110, I doubt he's going to find a box/sub/amp/wiring... My friend has the same budget, as it's all he gets paid from the National Guard, so I told him I'll build the box for free, give him some wire and give him my amp when I upgrade my system. He wants a DD1508, which is still going above his budget. The sub is all he has to buy and it's too much... So unless your friend gets donations from friends, I don't see him getting much for that budget. If he just wants a little kick for pop music, he might be able to find a pair of components with a bit of bass. My Fusions have a good bit of bass to them, my friends actually thought I had a 8" under my seat. The pair cost $100... Thats just an example. I don't know much about car audio though, so yeah... Lol.
