  1. I'm a Noob. I just now realized that google has a 3D Design software. I got a sketchup of my Box from the design in my first post I just Want To Know how can I make It a picture and post it here? Thanks.
  2. If you ever get the chance too, I hopefully will be getting a car By February and my License by May, (I took drivers training about a year after all of my friends.), They hold sound competitions at Milan Dragway and here in Taylor at the Gibraltar Trade Center. It'd be kinda nice to see you in person. I forgot what kind of system you had.
  3. Did not see it in Vista, even when using The Start Search box.
  4. I installed the divx pack and restarted my computer and still nothing. There is something odd though? I have a file of music video's I downloaded. I tried to put those on my MP4 player, they were in MPG format, and it popped up a message along the lines of, "Are you sure you want to copy 'filename' to this device without it's properties?" I said yes but they didn't load up on the device when I tired to play it. I have another file of ones I got from a burned data DVD and those are also in MPG format but went on the device without the message about properties, but they won't read either. I guess my Player isn't compatible with MPG/MPEG files. Here is the forum in case any of this is complicated. http://www.vistax64.com/sound-audio/116573...-missing-2.html Happy New Years, 14 Minutes to go on Eastern Time.
  5. I use to be able to watch MPEG MPG and pretty much all movies formats on WMP except .avi but that was no big deal. All of a sudden all video files won't play on Windows Media Player. I get an error message like this. Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file. MP3's still work but It won't even play CD's anymore. I can't find the answer anywhere. Anyone have an Idea as to what may be wrong? It just stopped suddenly one day. Worked fine and then, nope not anymore. This has me very frustrated. Thanks.
  6. My guess as to why not to build boxes out of metal are; Weight. Sound Quality. Cost. Not easy to tune by changing port length, which basically comes down to cost anyway. Wood is easier to craft. Don't need a CNC machine to make your box. I think there are other reasons but those are the main ones.
  7. Sub's mounting depth is 7.32 inches. Round that to 7.5 for airspace behind it and my port can only be 10.5 inches wide. How the hell can I do that with a 12 inch woofer? I'm guessing for this box design to work you need more than one sub. I've got an idea! I can get little cheap-o 2in speakers from my electronics class for free, they come with the projects we build, and make a box for those. LOL! Wonder how that would sound. One quick check question. Port area is length time's width correct?
  8. I'm going to my buddy's with the 4 15's tonight if my sister will cough up the camera or I use my moms DV camera I will try to post a video. Audiopipe is all I've ever really heard so I can't compare to anything else. Accordman, You would not want pics of my sister on here for donations. 1. She's 13, Jailbait. 2. She's a bitch. I'm an idiot. I forgot that the sub's more than 4 inches deep. Maybe that would help in figuring out the port dimensions. So it's def not gonna be 20 x 4.
  9. Yeah it's cheap if you got a job. I could only buy a sheet one time. I don't know what I would have to do to get it. I've been real nice to my mom lately maybe she'll cover it. I'll try and post a vid if my sister won't be stingy with the camera. Wish me Luck!
  10. No problem man. Just hope I get some answers soon. Don't wanna mess the box up. Where at in Michigan do you live?
  11. I wanna design a tLine for my 12. The Fs of the sub is 30hz. So my port length would have to be 9.41 Ft. Could I round that to 9.5? The measurement from middle of the surround to middle of surround is exactly 10" so The surface area of my sub is 78.5 Sq/in. This is port area correct? Is this the proper shape for a tLine? I want to know If a port area of 20in by 4in is O.K. Or is there a method you are supposed to use? How do I determine all of the box dimension's? The 45* angle's required? Just looking for information. Thanks. EDIT: Took a minute to calculate some stuff. Measurements calculate in wood thickness. Box dimensions of 21.5 Wide x 15 Tall x (Not sure how to calculate.) Is there a formula to determine how long each section is or is it guess and check?
  12. I meant for Fi's or Audiopulse. I need to get a job though. Hopefully I get donations for the music, but I'm not that worried about it. One twelve in my room is good for now.
  13. I heard they changed the rules for on of the events, where you can use iPod's , MP3 players, and Burned CD's. It was on another forum here somewhere.
  14. OK scratch the 20hz thing then. What that post was about is just really low bass that makes it hard to breathe. I would be very happy with 145's at 30hz. Is that the peak frequency rating or just the rating for that note? For first I would def go for the Mach 5's, just something to play around with. Then be an asshole and sell them to a kid at school for $300 for the pair. LOL J/K unless he would do it. Well until I hit the lottery or spin for $9000 on Moola it will be about 5 month's until I can afford the stuff but thanks for the info.
  15. The first song is Hoods Run Down - Lil' Wyte The second one is a bass test, not music. IASCA - SSS Bass Test
  16. Also, by a slim chance I like a new song but the bass is a wee bit high, how are they on songs at 50hz?
  17. Yeah I know. Subs would probably be last then. Kid looking in the back."Dude, you have a box, wire and 4 amps but no subs WTF?" Me "If you build it they will come."
  18. Loaded SSD cost $300. I'd just wait fir the extra $150 for a loaded BTL. BTL the loudest of all the series? One downside to none Audiopipe brand. My dealer has something special, but whatever he does, if I blow something he sells me, amp, sub, Head unit, whatever, I get it replaced for free. BUT, Fi does sell re-coning kits. Those expensive?
  19. Fugit, Get it. Let me know how it sounds. If you need a song made let me know. All I ask in return is a video of it if you can.
  20. Forgot to mention. The company I bought my 12 form makes custom speaker all the way up to a 32". I'll get a quote from them since I get it at manufacturing price. If I'm not happy with it Fi it is. I used to want Kenwood subs so bad too. LMAO!
  21. Yeah I saw his vids on youtube and that's what made me want them so bad. I know I can't afford TC sounds since I hear they cost well over $2000 each. But all of that flex made me a little frisky. Probably going with an Escort wagon. Hell If I get a good job ripping out the back seat and going for six. WTF im gonna power it with I have no clue. I may seriously consider that Mach 5 sub to start with. For $120 you can't go wrong. Just need a proper enclosure. I'm surprised at how fast people are responding to this thread. As I write this there are 6 viewing this thread.
