  1. decaf's songs are all bass enhanced songs. He usually slows them slightly and boosts the bass lines. as far as tuning, 30-35 will work fine, ive have/had (new port extension) them also tuned at 40hz and they still pounded lows. But i would recommend 33hz. What would the difference be between 30 and 33?
  2. What is the difference of the decaf songs?
  3. I dont really listen to slowed music, but i listen to alot of jeezy, and most of his songs are in the lower frequency range, so 30 would probably be my best bet. Also, will i struggle in the higher frequencies since im tuning so low?
  4. And the lower i tune it, the lower frequencies i will pick up?
  5. I want a 15, but i don't have enough trunk space for it unfortunately so i'm gonna have to go with the 12. What kind of tuning do you guys recommend? This is probably one of the dumbest questions you guys have heard, but personally I don't know. http://dcsoundlab.com/woofers.html - The level 4 12, under the specs, it says fs - 27.4 hz. Is that what i should be tuning my box to?
  6. Just get HID lights, it doesnt matter if they dim, there still bright as hell.
  7. anybody? I'll be pushing 1200 watts to it -AQ1200D
  8. What size box and port tuning should i use? DC's site recommends 1.5 cubic in. But i was wondering if I should go bigger. I want to pick up the really deep lows.
  9. I stopped reading it halfway through. It started to piss me off too much
  10. So a stock battery under the hood and a stock alternator will run both amps with 0 gauge wire, and it won't be a problem for me?
  11. i have 2 amps on a stock alternator with the big 3 done and never had any problems whatsoever. Do you have an aftermarket battery?
  12. yeah but i'm going to be running 2 amps on it, i was thinking 4g wire, for both, see i'm trying to learn here because i've never wired amps before i've always had somebody else do it.
  13. I'm just gonna say everything is stock on a 2000 toyota solara. I bought pioneer 6.5s and 6x9s and largely regret it. By upgrading the big 3, are u talking about going to 0 gauge wires? Because i was trying to steer clear of that because it will draw so much power from my battery.
  14. My battery and alternator is stock. I am going to run an AQ1200 and an amp for mids and highs (undecided on the brand, putting out 400 RMS range). Is it necessary to use an extra battery? Do i need to?
  15. even if they are p3's they could not handle 2 1200 watt amps, or he has the gain down on both of them and is twice as retarded.
  16. I planned on running a rockford T1000-1bd, the older version because its considerably cheaper. Trunk space is kind of an issue with me, thats why i wanted to go with 10s. But like the guy above me was talking about the level 4. I could maybe just get 1 level 4 10. I'm thinking that a 12 won't fit to good. I can only go 14 inches high MAX.
  17. well i only really want to run 1000 watts so i would be pushing 500 to each level 2, but if i got level 3s i would be underpowering them.
  18. Now theres 2 people saying opposite things and don't know which method to go with. DC recommends a 1 cube ported box for each level 2 ten, but is that too small or something?
  19. Will i run into any problems with higher frequencies then? Personally i have always used sealed boxes, so i'm a huge noob to ported boxes and im pretty interested in trying it out.
  20. Ok lets say i have 2 level 2 10s what kind of box design would u guys tune to, to hit those frequencies?
  21. kind of a broad question, but which model would pick up the lows better, level 2 or level 3? Example song would be White Girl - Jeezy/USDA
