Hey guys, this is my first decent box build for my Sundown SA-8. I just finished cutting the MDF with my new table saw. I say "decent" because my last box was built using a handsaw and it was horrible. I got a design from a guy on here for free and he did a great job! Box is .6 cubic feet and tuned to 35 hz. I'm not starting on putting it together today, because my neighbor has a small brad nailgun and it is perfect for this 1/2" MDF. Later this week hopefully, because today's thanksgiving! Here's some pics of it pieced together: Thanks for looking!

Speaker wires?

Looks like 16 guage? If your 400 watts or more, i'd get thicker wire like 14 or maybe 12 guage -
I guess I gotta do some research, I don't know...lol.

Thanks!

Now I can try to build a box the right way! First time was with a handsaw, cutting MDF. Got it at a garage sale in my neighborhood for a 100 bucks. It's a Craftsman.

what 8" sub would be best for this application
donovanl12 replied to max.krupski's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
The sundown sa-8 is your best bet. It's a beast compared to all those mainstream brands you mentioned, and they can take some power. -
Oh my bad...I feel like an idiot
