Since the question of Ballistic came up in our sub forum, I'll provide ya with my information. Ballistic is a product made for and sold by Metra. It is made in China. Comes in either a sheet or wedge roll. They list it as 83 mils thick, and it measures up to those specs (surprised the hell out of me). It comes with a 4 mil soft aluminum. THIS is where the product suffers. Since it has a thinner constraining layer than several other products on the market, it doesn't perform quite as well (even though it has a lot of mass/extra thick butyl). Kinda of a waste pairing that much butyl with a rather thin piece of aluminum. The adhesive is fair to good, no worries about it failing like an asphalt or bitumen based mat. Overall it's a rather typical product right in the middle of the field. Nothing special.

Just what emp said. A few other solutions to look for/at are: HH-66 Vinyl Cement AmRep/Misty Heavy Duty Spray Adhesive 3M Super 80 The main thing to to find one that is safe on/for foams. Some adhesive will dissolve the foam layer on the LLP... not what you want. And you don't have to apply it all over EVERY square inch. The main thing is to keep the product from moving/sliding around. Our counterpart Don over on SDS uses sticky backed industrial strength Velcro instead of contact adhesive. This works awesomely as well.

That is awesome to hear. Have any pictures? -
Full coverage isn't necessary, but if you want to cover every square inch I'd estimate you're going to need 40 sq. ft. or more. Personally, I'd go with 20 sq. ft. of material (whatever brand of deadener you have decided to use). And I'd do 4-5 sq. ft. on the lid, 2-3 sq. ft. on both the left and right rear quarter panels, and 10 sq. ft. on the floor.

The difference is that the Damp Pro has a thicker butyl core, more than twice as thick actually. Now keep in mind that our entry level Damplifier is no slouch. It will perform on par with most other brands 'extreme' version. -

Depends on how bad the rattles are, but yes a 30 sq. ft. pack of Damplifier Pro would definitely help. If you just go with 25% coverage per panel (typically all that is needed) that would give you enough to do all four doors and lift gate with material left over. You can also reduced/stop rattles by just using some closed cell foam behind the plastic trim panels. By isolating them from the sheet metal you can vastly reduce the amount of rattling you hear. -

All prices are listing on the website. But 40 sq. ft. of Damplifier is around $125 OR 36.5 sq. ft. of Damplifier Pro is around $186. -
Exactly. Most orders ship within 24 hours of being placed. And there are no coupons that are valid that I am aware of. You can always call or drop a line to: [email protected]

Not necessarily. Some areas just don't need any help. Structural ribs for instance don't need much, if any, sound deadener for a few reasons. 1. They are more strucatulraly dead simply because they are reinforced (typically welded). Because of this they are 'supported' and so they resonate much less than say a flat or mostly flat panel that is not supported. 2. This ribs are typically constructed of a curved or a rather intricately shaped piece of metal. Curved panels can have as much as 90% less resonance than a flat panel simply because of how it's shaped. Treating the entire lid, while effective, isn't the best use of materials simply because you can achieve the same or very similar results by using deadener strategically.
