A lvl 5 is really heavy an xl is alot lighter but both are great subs -
My 2 hdc3 12s are in a 4.6 cuft with 73cuin of port tuned to 32hz. I tried 4.3@36hz and 5.5@38hz before hand. all designed by mike at AQ. 4.6@32hz takes the cake in my setup.( In a trunk sealed off into cabin). Diff experiences diff installs. Good luck OP in deciding ur system bro

The AQ and big box theory is not exactly true, also with the high tuning thing. I like mine in a smaller lower tuned box then recommended. Pretty sure theres a thread discussing that issue also. But its all up to the listener and install dependent. They're real peaky in big higher tuned boxes.

Maybe look at a used AQ 3.5k it will be ideal for 2 hdc3s as a daily driver.

To start yes. But you would want to upgrade to 2, 2kw amps to get them really moving but the hdc3s are efficient 2 18s on 2kw will get loud as hell still, assuming your box is built/designed correctly.

Yea the lvl 4s will have better sq (not saying its a sq sub) but the hdc3s are LOUD but its all install dependent

AQ 2.2? Great amp. Yes 15s or even 18s if you want to squeeze em in there theyll get retarted loud.

Just be careful with your gains. Btw if i was you just get one more lvl 3 since you already got it. But if not AQ hdc3s are loud as shit if all you want is loudness thats what i run. And their cheap for what they can do.

2k if you can afford it never hurts to have more powa if ever needed. 1.2k if on a budget

I was letting u kno bro. Its rated at like 1200rms@1ohm but it should do 1500rms its a cheap way to go and AQ is a great brand
