  1. The flared end would stay outside the box if the ports are going to be internal but if they will be external then the flared side would be inside the box. Seal it real good too
  2. O and my cover over my sunvisor mirror broke off & they broke my back window seal
  3. Its all about the tuning but im not sure technically why.
  4. Im not sure how to calculate aeroport area per sqft i tried looking it up with no sucess someone with more knowledge with aeroports needs to chime in
  5. If you did 3 4" ports tuned to 34hz with 4.8 ft3 of box space they would need to be 16.38" long but i dunno if you need 3 that seems like alot of port area for 1 15 but i might be trippin there a great calculator for aeroports on. psp-inc.com
  6. my trunk is about an .75" off. My spoiler light seal broke and it rattled real bad(i put a little peice of window seal faom to stop the noise) I always blow taillights atleast one a week. O and all my little plastic things that help my bumper stay flush broke. This all happened with 2 12" hdc3s on about 2700rms. O and my window buttons wires came loose
  7. O and make sure that the ports arent getting suffucated try and leave atleast 5" of clearance to the wall theyre facing( it shouldnt be a prob if the ports are on the side).
  8. Well if they are flared make them as close to 9.1" as you can and like i said you can use pvc pipe and save some money and flare them yourself(there vids on youtube that will show you how b/c theres diff methods). Or you could just buy the ports. Justmake sur to seal around the ports real good with silicone or some good glue. And yea i would put the ports right next to each other. You could do sub facing the back of trunk and ports facing drivers side or subs to back of trunk and ports to the back of trunk all on the same side. This works best in my camry.
  9. Alright with 2 4" straight ports the lenght would need to be 8.132" long and 2 4" flared ports would be 9.132 long thats tuned to 35hz with 5 cuft for the box. Btw 35hz will kill the lows with these subs! I have 2 hdc312s in my trunk rite now tuned to 35hz and murder the lows
  10. And you would want you ports on the same side. i would say for 1 sub i wouldnt put the ports on opposite sides. I would do a 6" port or two 8" but thats just me
  11. Im not really the best person for the aeroports but there are aero port calculators online. But if you give me ur box specs ill check for ya
  12. Is it a trunk car? If so face the sub backwards unless you completly seal it off
  13. You could save money and use pvc pipe and you can flare them yourself
  14. Well i havnt had much experience with an epicenter or soundstream i thought the soundsream was good when i bought it i didnt think it was a bad investment. Soundstream is known for sq so y is this product so horrible?
  15. Do you know rms for the .5 ohm load on the amp
  16. Its a sound processor/bass restoration
  17. I already have this
  18. Do you have any experience with this particular model?
  19. Im not sure if thats the correct term or not but it restores bass notes that have been cutout threw the recording process i believe. Like on young jeezys song put on that last note usually you dont hear but with this it brings those notes back. And it gives music that generally has no bass some bass like rock or ect.
  20. did everything myself. I like to see ppl doing there own builds b/c its hard to understand how much really goes into an install until youve done it all yourself. Makes you appreciate it alllllooottt more.lol Im doin a truck build soon just now wrappin up my car build.
  21. Is there sumthin up with the gain/subsonic filter remote on these because i unplugged the remote and the problem is no longer there. But i deff want my remote so what can i do or does anyone know sumthin about this?
  22. Well i got my new bass restorer/line driver (soundstream bx20-z) today and installed it and i cant get my music to sound right with it. It makes my normal songs i listen to sound totally differnt. Like for example a song everyone knows "put on" the bass lines are way off and differnt. But its not just this song its like that with all the bass songs. I have tried messing with all the settings and its just not sounding right at all i need some advice please. From my understanding its like an epicenter(if your not familiar with my bass machine). I have an orion d5000 and 2 hdc3s. Thanks in advance ppl
