  1. starting season 6 just now... here we go...
  2. im no expert, but it depends what kind of car you have on where your sensors are, in my car i have one in front of the back seat, right in the middle behind the center console. its if the censor goes past X amount of G's then it sends the electrical signal to deploy the airbags. (just guessing)
  3. thats fine, take your time. ive been following you for a while so i'll know when it hits
  4. whatever features you think are the good ones, dont bother with the whole "it has am, AND FM" lol. i just bought a new deck, so i wanna see how much it changes for you, so i can kinda get more excited :]
  5. i was not happy! not that i cared for what happened (trying not to give it away to potential readers).. but it really messes with the story. i mean im on the edge of my seat watching season 5 right now
  6. does your friend have a wall? or is the subs in his trunk with the seats up?
  7. 170, ok. Private message "blackrosetiger" hes an expert at these types of builds.
  8. just curious. how loud are you trying to get? how many DBs?
  9. first of all you've obviously NEVER have been in the service. second whats so far fetched about this? firstly i never claimed to be in the service, i was simply stating that fifteen thousand dollars is a shit ton of money to just drop on equipment for someone who thinks that they can run 10 thousand watts to a level 5. and whats so far fetched? if you have to ask.....
  10. i think you mean a couple of blown subs. and since hes buying mids and highs, its safe to say that hes not building this for burping or shooting tones.
  11. 20k on two level 5s. hoooooolllllllly shit. ok well, theres a few problems besides the obvious ones.. 20k watts is like 4 alternators, and 10 D3100s.. (i believe... i could be wrong..) buttt, unless you have.. oh say like.. $10-15,000 laying around.. money is an issue.
  12. AW FUCK MAN!!!!!! the end of season 4 almost had me cryin!! what the shit!
  13. what the hail, i specifically asked for a deck vid.
  14. yep, someone in the reviews said it handles 1/0, just buy that, and the 150 amp ANL fuse. THE FUSE HOLDER DOES NOT COME WITH A FUSE, EVEN THOUGH IT ITS PICTURED HAVING ONE. in case you dont feel like reading the reviews
  15. that looks like a mini ANL fuse holder you will need to buy an ANL fuse holder that accepts 1/0. and a 150 amp ANL fuse. if the fuse ever blows its just going to melt everything around it anyways.
  16. heyyy rob, that fuse holder isnt going to work here.. " This water resistant inline holder accepts one 4 - 10 Gauge Wire on each end." hes moving to 1/0, also thats a MINI anl fuse holder..
  17. unless you are god mode at building boxes, your amp wont put out 1700 because of box rise, so ima say get a 150 ANL fuse. http://www.amazon.com/Raptor-RANL1502-Fuses-Gold-Plated/dp/B0002EXJIO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1325142008&sr=8-1
  18. could you feature the deck somewhere? i'd like to see the entire setup.. in most videos no one features the deck, just the other equipment.. for some reason >.>
  19. idk about ONE SA-15 taking 1700.. ive never owned one, so i cant say first hand.. but they are rated at 600 lol.
  20. I feel you bro. Any recommendations? The only reason i'm rocking the type r's right now is because they're $209 on sonic and a hell of a sub for the price. for 209 you coulda grabbed some SA-15s obsidian 15s skar 15s.. but anyone will tell you if you ask "what brand". AA Sundown DC Skar DD AQ list goes on
  21. oh, idk.. when people state their cu ft, its widely accepted that, that is their net cu ft. net cu ft is after port, sub displacement, and bracing is taken into account.. so when you say 4 cu ft, that means your box, with subs, bracing and port is 4 cu ft.. you will probably try a few boxes, everyone does. you can try 3.5 cu ft, 3.25 cu ft, 3 cu ft.
  22. ..... im watching you..... >.>
  23. you will have to build a new box anyways 4 cu ft is way too big for a dc 15", especially if its taking 1700. (i havent specified what level DC you would be getting because its not my money, or my build.)
  24. from the sounds of it.. a dc sub will probably be out of your price range.. if you want it set up right, you're going to spend about $500+ just fyi. if your low on funds like you say you are, stick with what you got until you can either.. A ) buy another alpine and wire in parallel/parallel (amp sees 1 ohm load) and purchase 1/0 and a 150 amp fuse. B ) buy a dc 15" dual 2, wired in parallel (amp sees 1 ohm load) and purchase 1/0 and a 150 amp fuse.
  25. you might want to double check with some of the more experienced guys such as ram_designs or 412 CVX.. but i really think you should be fine with like 6 cu ft
