i got a set of mb quart 6.5 components and i got the woofers in a box and i t sounds bad. im thinking about putting them in the rrear deck like in the new chrysler 300's. but that would leave them free air. does anyonehave an idea whether this will sound better or not?cuz it sounds pretty bad now.

because when i listen to rap, im a heavy bass head and im not going to rattle apart my hotrod. i got 2 12 inch he2 stage 2 punches offa 2k and it pounds. it pounds for everything. but i only have a component set in my hotrod. 2 speakers n 2 tweeters. thats why im going to do a bit o building in my dart, and the rap just doesnt sound that good on the 2 speakers and tweets. im looking into the skar audio vvx8's and i wantt to know what box would give better sound. i listen to mainly rock, metal,oldies and even a lil biyt of classical. i listen to rap too but only in my blaazer. so for these subs, what would sound best ported or sealed and does anyone know what the cubes are. i believe its similar to the sa8's and only .7 cubes each. if ported, how should i port? aero port or?

try the rca thing. check ground if it got knocked loose while driving. if so. make sure its clean n remount.

id make walls to seal off sides of trunk. carpet em same color as box. make wood amps on reach walls n carpet it to and install led strip you can pik up for 15 bucks along the rear wall aiming towards your subs. lights amp n subs

i had prob with my four channel. unplug the rcas from amp n turn on ur radio. if you still hav noise try ground loop isolatr.10 bucks at darvex.com

aq is supposed to give out good sound quality. i used to have an oooold 8 inch orion and sounded awesome for rock and metal. i dont want to rattle apart my car. its mild thump.

ok. im looking at getting 2 8' subs. ive been looking at skar audio vvx8 n it looks sweet but it seems to be same basic sub as sa8. but sa8 has a beefier looking surround. which of the 2 would have better sq do you think. and whats better for sq for a box.ported or sealed
