Hi guys, Its time for a new box so I'm here lookin for your valued input. I have 2 Option Audio xtms, and an EBII falcon. my current box is tuned to 33hz with 5.6cube gross. 59.80 in² of port area and 19.5inch2 of port area per cubic foot. its a miniwall setup (dodgy sealed) but I want to go back to the boot. It would give you more box area, I don't think a whole cube. No it does not give you more port area, I mean you dont have the subs in the port do you?? Basically inverting the subs is not going to make a very noticeable difference besides the looks. sorry I know it wont give me more port area, I was referring to the port to box ratio, as I have 21 square inches of port per foot cube of box volume. the sub are just under .5ft3 in displacement each, reverse mounting would give back the displacement which means the port to box ratio would change, thats what I was wondering about.

I am probably wrong (which is why im here asking) wouldn't reversing the subs give back the 1cube displacement from the subs which would mean more cube per port square inch? this is just playin around in Torres' Box Tuning Calculator.

Hey all, Ok before I start I will just say, yes I know this is not a true grounder but its my 1st go at going low! Setup: sedan, miniwall styled (yet to sealed) 5.6 cube gross box, 34hz tuning, 21"square inch of port per cube. Dual 12" Option Audio xtms on 3k power. I am hitting 138.6 @25hz, 139.7 @33hz and 140.3 @40hz! all sealed on dash Now my issue is, I know my port is too big as it is and thought if I reverse mount the subs that will drop the port tuning to 29-30hz and lower the port area to about 15.8" per cube. I want to hit numbers under the 40hz mark and have asked numerous people, with no real help, will reverse mounting to lower port area and lower tuning help raise my spl score under 40hz? if there's anything else you need to know just ask, Thanks guys
