do you mean like single stack, double stack and triple stack? if so, it is form function. it is all part of the engineering of the speaker. there is a certain amount of magnetic force required and whichever way is most cost effective or best performance is how they cut the magnet pieces. it has to do with throw of speaker, and a lot of variables that make the speaker go round

you will be fine running up to 900rms a piece. give them 3 net cubes with 14-15 in sq of port per cube. tune 36 hz-37hz. be happy.
