starting vs deep cycle.... You wont notice any difference between the two in your system. I wouldnt sweat that. You have other issues to take care of. Dom

There are alot more reasons for your clipping light other than voltage. I would personally use my ear instead of the light. The light may be just some gay feature that is not real accurate. I would just ignore it. You definitely need an alt tho. That would make a huge difference. Let me know if you want an alt.. I can get it out next day. What did you drive? I forget... Your votlage still drops to 9ish? I so, you need to upgrade wiring on your electrical or change where you have your grounds. Check your voltage directly at the alternator. Iraggi

Sounds like you may need a battery and an alt. Dropping to 12's indicates needing an alt.. dropping to 9's indicates needing both. How much power are you running on your subs?

You dont have much luck.. Hard to tell. Would have to look inside.

U check the fuse between the alt and battery? Probaby says batt fuse. Iraggi Alternator

Whining is producing current. Screaching is belt slipping.

Im gonna say its a 99% chance your alt doesnt have enough idle current to roll up your windows and charge a battery. Dom

4G is what you want. 4.125 or so depth. 260 amps is typical.
